NEL BUIO release “eppur perdona.” ("and yet she forgives."), the third of the four singles that anticipate the band's first album out in December via Avantgarde Music. After an EP which sold out in a matter of weeks in June 2024, the band confirms a clear and uncompromising trajectory with their debut album.
"eppur perdona." closes this concept album with a raw look at emotional violence: the story of a young woman raised in nature who moves to the city for a love that turns out to be toxic and sick. In this last track the murder has already occurred and, for the first time, the main character speaks in the first person through the voice of Telly Lale, forgiving her executioner but leaving a deliberately ambiguous message that could sound like an invitation to su***de and be joined by her beloved.
Musically this song is the driest and most bare of the album, with essential arrangements and a sonic tension that delves into the purest form of black metal, without abandoning the dark elements that distinguish Nel Buio, with only the short spoken part placed at the center of the experience.
Frontman Clod The Ripper comments: "writing the lyrics for this album was a cathartic process; it has been personal and painful, but I hope it can serve as a warning".
The debut album will be premiered live at Black Winter Fest on December 13, 2025, at the Slaughter Club in Milan. The album artwork is created by frontman and tattoo artist Clod The Ripper.
