Terre Thaemlitz is a musician, producer, writer, and public speaker whose work spans deep house, electroacoustic composition, and political theory. Born in the U.S. and based in Japan, they are also the founder of Comatonse Recordings.
Their practice interrogates identity, gender, sexuality, and class through sound and text, refusing easy definitions and resisting commodification.
From club culture to critical discourse, Thaemlitz remains one of the most challenging and essential figures in contemporary electronic music.

We have always believed that music and culture can be powerful tools for opening dialogues and bringing attention to important themes and places. With this spirit, we agreed to participate in the project proposed by Alcova at the former Macao spaces, to provide soundscaping from 11 PM to 2 AM.

It is with great regret that, in recent days, our values have been questioned without the opportunity for discussion, and without even knowing the terms of our involvement. Criticism has come even from those who know us well, from our closest supporters, from our own community, in a way and through a medium we do not align with.

Radio Raheem has always been a free and independent platform. We have never taken shortcuts; we have built a project that thrives on music and the contributions of people who, like us, believe in a different model—without advertising, without chasing easy content, and by opening doors to exploration and diverse scenes.

Guided solely by our project and nothing else, we have decided not to continue with the collaboration and to open a dialogue with everyone, as always—with those who support us and with those who criticize us.

One of Europe’s leading festivals for adventurous music, Rewire pushes the boundaries between electronic, classical, and experimental sounds. From April 3 to 6 in The Hague, the festival will showcase a bold lineup of artists exploring new sonic territories.

This Sunday, from 16:00 to 21:00 CET, experience an exclusive takeover with mixes by Able Noise, Elori Saxl, Takkak Takkak, Katarina Gryvul and Olan Monk—artists shaping this year’s edition.
