Good news for Italians living abroad!

A new rule introduced in June 2026 makes it much easier for A.I.R.E.-registered citizens to apply for or renew their Carta d'Identità Elettronica (CIE).

Beyond serving as Italy's electronic identity card, the CIE also gives access to a digital identity that simplifies many everyday interactions with the Italian public administration—from taxes and official documents to healthcare and other online services.

Our latest article explains what has changed, who can benefit, and why the CIE is becoming an increasingly valuable tool for Italians living overseas.

The discussion around The Devil Wears Prada 2 has mostly focused on the obvious things. The performances. The fashion. The comparisons with the original film. Whether the sequel was necessary at all.

Yet one of the film's most interesting choices has received far less attention: Italy is not treated as a backdrop.

In our latest article, we explore how Milan and Lake Como become some of the film's most compelling characters—and why Italy ends up saying something much larger about beauty, culture, and the meaning of luxury itself.

Most sequels struggle to live up to the original. The Devil Wears Prada 2 faces a different challenge: competing with its Italian locations.

Tuscany is often described as timeless, and that’s probably the first misunderstanding.

What people call “slow luxury” comes from systems that have been actively maintained for decades—landscapes shaped by traditional agricultural rhythms, estates restored without breaking visual continuity, hospitality designed to feel integrated rather than staged.

The region feels effortless because an enormous amount of effort has been fully absorbed into its structure. That may be why Tuscany continues to define a certain idea of luxury, while so many other destinations imitate its aesthetics without reproducing its coherence. The hills, vineyards, stone farmhouses, muted interiors, and long lunches under soft light have become global visual shorthand for taste itself.

But the real story sits underneath this image.

In our latest article, we explore why Tuscany still shapes the modern idea of slow luxury better than almost anywhere else in the world—and why what appears “natural” is often the result of careful alignment between locals and newcomers.

Slow luxury in Tuscany is built on landscape, production, and cultural continuity shaped over generations—not on timelessness alone.
