We have a few more things to announce before this year ends! Something that will make you look forward to 2026 even more!

We’re really stoked to announce the release of “EXTREMITIES. The Albini Demos and Live Beginnings ’88”, a raw, essential and indispensable testimony of an era that defined Killing Joke’s history. And for this one we merged forces with Invisible Records!

On one side you will find the ‘origins’ with the demo sessions, mixed by Steve Albini, where essential ideas of Killing Joke’s sound were born. The legendary ‘Black Cassette’ contained these demos!

On the other side there’s a true rarity! Excerpts from Martin Atkin’s very first show with the band at Burberries in Birmingham on Dec 20th 1988! That night saw the live debut of Extremities, The Fanatic, Intravenous, Beautiful Dead. A piece of history that would have defined a new era for the band.

This record will be available in the following variants:

Il 2025 è stato anche l’anno del ritorno di una nostra vecchia conoscenza (risalente agli albori di Overdrive stessa!). Dopo 9 anni dall’ultimo “We’re Turning Again” i Captain Quentin sono tornati!

Un graditissimo ‘comeback’ con una novità assoluta per la band: l’introduzione delle voci all’interno della propria musica. Un esperimento che ha coinvolto amici e colleghi di lunga data e il cui risultato è stato più che apprezzato! ♥️

““Quattro” è il quarto album dei Captain Quentin che, a parte la scelta originale del titolo, si presenta come una novità assoluta per la band. Il nuovo lavoro, che arriva dopo quasi nove anni dal precedente We’re Turning Again, e che vede per l’occasione il riformarsi della formazione originale, si pone come una vera e propria rivoluzione nella discografia dei Captain Quentin. Per la prima volta alle chitarre, ai bassi, ai sintetizzatori e le batterie, si affianca la voce. Dopo 20 di musica stoicamente strumentale, c’è adesso spazio per delle vere e proprie “canzoni”, anche se il tiro musicale non si sposta di molto: disparità, cambi repentini di timing, sintetizzatori psichedelici e chitarre intrecciate.

Con featuring d’autore che includono Dario Brunori, Max Collini, Amaury Cambuzat e Francesco Villari insieme a Yosonu!”

This December we would like to recall all the releases we put out in the world during 2025!
A little recap for you to see what has been going on here and, maybe, to discover something you missed along the road. We’re full of gratitude for another year of amazing music, before launching the next projects we wanted to take a moment to appreciate this year’s journey. ♥️

Let’s start with one of our first 2025 releases: ‘Transatlantic // Transiberian’ from our own post-rock poets . 🚢 // 🚂

Goodbye, Kings are somewhat of a strange beast, oscillating between 10 and 20 musicians in charge of creating the orchestral sonic constructions.

Appreciated for their cinematic and immersive quality, Goodbye, Kings’ compositions move delicately between ethereal catharsis and concrète soundtrack, possessing an almost surreal quality to them, evoking memories of “un-lived” pasts.

“Transatlantic // Transiberian” praises the magniloquent return of the “post-rock poets” Goodbye, Kings.
This new album deals with two macro-tracks representing two great voyages of the past century: one is set as the narration of the atlantic sail to America and the other follows the great railroad straight to the Far East.

Here at Overdrive’s HQ we’re already going through 2026’s planning, we couldn’t be more excited but we won’t spoil too much for the moment, just some things here and there!

2026 will see the return of God Bullies, the mischievous quartet formed by Mike Hard and a core group of deranged Detroit disciples – guitarist Scott Kodrik, bassist Pat O'Harris, and drummer Cliff Carinci - is actually working on its new record and it will be released via Reptilian Records and Overdrive Records. More to come!

The band describes itself as “dark-edged satirists”, capable to mix rock and garage-punk with a ‘90s twist. “Imagine Flipper crossed with Link Wray, fronted by a prison-bound Jim Bakker, and you might be close.”

Today we celebrate the one year anniversary of “Mansuetude”. And, oh, what a journey it’s been and really how many cool things we already see ahead!

This record has received so much positive feedback from the music community and the fans that it made us just so proud of it all, Buñuel played in the EU, US and on the stages of two of the best festivals in the EU: Supersonic and Roadburn.

Great and greatness all around.

But we weren’t alone, we got Annapaola Martin on board with us and she managed to give her unique vision to three official music videos for “Mansuetude”. Plus, she toured with the band and thanks to her amazing pictures from the shows you can be there even if you couldn’t have been.

And, of course, we wouldn’t be here to tell you any of this without our amazing PR and booking squad: Rarely Unable , Discipline PR, Motormouthmedia , Sonic Arts and Tone Deaf Touring .
