When Obliquo invites us to take part in Book Look, we’re not even surprised anymore: it has become a regular appointment for Lazy Dog, and every year we can’t wait.
We didn’t think it was possible, but this year they raised the bar yet again, not only with the care they put into the public programme and evening sound performances, but also by curating an exhibition to accompany the launch of “Magarìe”, the beautiful illustrated book by Elisa Talentino that we were so proud to bring with us this time.
Reasons to be grateful for this edition:
→ “Magarìe di vita, morte e meraviglie” was presented to a packed audience on 18 September, in conversation with Riccardo Pasqual. The day before, on the 17th, an exhibition of the same name opened at Mercati Culturali Pordenone (Mercati Culturali Pordenone), with a gorgeous exhibition design by studio GISTO, which gave Elisa’s drawings the perfect setting.
→ Elisa also led a workshop at Liceo Artistico E. Galvani in Cordenons.
→ “Magarìe” had a great spot in the festival’s book tent run by Librerie.coop.
→ Livia of Libri Belli shared some heartwarming words about our beloved “Automotive Monogamy” by Matteo Ferrari and “Looking Good” by Charles H. Traub.
→ We met a lot of lazy dogs who struck a pose.
We also made wonderful new friends, among others superloto, Nola & Jo-ana, apartamento, ValiZ, and Manori Pemathilaka, and had the chance to say hello to old ones: Sigaretten, 𝖲ₑ𝖙 𝜧𝝏𝒓𝙜𝑖𝑛𝚜ʹ þ𝓤𝙗⎮𝑖🇨𝝏𝖙𝑖𝟬𝑛𝚜 / منشورات ست مارجن, , Ctrl Magazine, , Timeo, Humboldt Books, vànvere edizioni and studiofaganel.
