Today marks the 60th anniversary of the release of “Pet Sounds”, originally released on May 16, 1966 — one of the most influential and visionary albums in the history of popular music.

We celebrate it with .ikebac plays Pet Sounds, a full acoustic guitar transcription of Brian Wilson’s masterpiece, released earlier this year on Cassis Records.

A deeply intimate reinterpretation that strips the album down to melody, harmony and emotional essence, offering a new perspective on these timeless compositions.

Omaggio ai 60 anni di “Pet Sounds” dei Beach Boys (1966–2026)

A sessant’anni dall’uscita di “Pet Sounds” dei Beach Boys (16 maggio 1966), Andrea Faccioli rende omaggio a uno degli album più influenti della storia della musica con una versione per chitarra acustica sola.
Il progetto nasce come una trascrizione integrale del disco: ogni brano viene ridotto alla sua essenza melodica e armonica, mantenendo la profondità emotiva e la complessità compositiva dell’originale. Un lavoro di precisione e sensibilità, che trasforma un capolavoro di studio in un’esperienza intima e ravvicinata.

Durante la serata Andrea Faccioli eseguirà dal vivo l’intero album “Pet Sounds”, accompagnando l’ascolto con un racconto sul processo di trascrizione e sul significato di questo lavoro oggi, a sessant’anni dalla sua uscita. È possibile anche l’inclusione di alcune bonus track.

Un’occasione speciale per riscoprire questo disco da una prospettiva essenziale, intima e profondamente personale.
