Out today on Bandcamp and in a limited CD edition: the new album by cellist and composer — a sonic journey through ancient echoes and electronic textures, suspended between the sacred and the raw.

It’s a deeply personal and immersive work, co-produced with Stefano Pilia, and enriched by the contributions of Alessandro Trabace, Giuseppe Trabace, Hanxiao Zhang, and Susanna La Polla Giovanni (SUZ).
Mixed by Stefano Pilia, mastered by Matteo Cantaluppi at Mono Studio.

We are proud to announce our collaboration with Giuseppe Franchellucci, an extraordinary musician and composer, for his new album.

It is a powerful and poetic instrumental work.
A sonic pilgrimage through memory and inner landscapes, where the cello merges with electronics, distorted chants, and manipulated voices — a ritual suspended between the sacred and the profane.

The album will be released this Friday on Bandcamp, also available as a limited edition Compact Disc.
It will be available on all streaming platforms starting in December.

Some projects land on your desk like a press release.
did not.

They showed up out of nowhere, we still don’t know exactly who they are. But their music spoke loud and clear.

Analog electronics, subconscious collage, outsider prog, musique concrète, forgotten languages, half-memories, Canterbury sound.

We’re releasing their new album this Friday on Bandcamp via Cassis Records.

A few weeks later, they’ll perform live at Germi, Milan — on Wednesday, November 19.

Streaming will follow. But first, the gateway opens on Bandcamp.

Diopsida, also known as diopside, is a green-hued mineral often found in metamorphic rocks, formed deep within the Earth under immense heat and pressure. With its luminous, glass-like surface and calming shades of green, it embodies resilience, grounding, and balance. A symbol of clarity and inner harmony, Diopsida reflects the quiet strength of the earth’s hidden layers — much like this piece, rooted in stillness yet shimmering with subtle movement.

“Diopsida” is the second release from Soft Companion, continuing the ambient journey that blends gentle electronic textures with organic, nature-inspired atmospheres. Named after the serene mineral, the track unfolds like slow light filtering through stone — meditative, minimal, and deeply immersive. A quiet space where sound and silence merge, offering a moment of deep listening and reflection.

Inequal_Triennale Mix is the stereo version of the work presented at Triennale Milano on October 17, 2025, inside the Voce space — a room designed for immersive, spatialized sound.
The original piece was diffused in 7.1 multichannel format and conceived specifically for that environment.

This version is not a live recording, but a reimagined stereo mix derived from the spatial composition created for the event.

Inequal is an ambient work, but also a political one.
It speaks — without words — of the tensions, imbalances, and polarizations of Western culture.
It reflects on a world that has lost the ability to perceive nuance, and now tends to divide everything into two rigid, opposing perspectives.
This album offers a different space: a fragile, open sonic map. A moment of suspension. A form of listening that resists simplification.

A fragmented, delicate work made of memory, minimalism and blurred songwriting.
The album took years to come together — or perhaps to fall apart.
Zorzi collected its remains, ten pieces that now sound like piano reflections, ambient gestures, and unfinished thoughts gently looped into form.
