🎹 Germaine Tailleferre (1892-1983) was a trailblazer in French music. Despite early resistance from her father, she studied at the Paris Conservatoire with Ravel, Debussy, and Widor, earning prizes and the admiration of her peers.

⚡ The only female member of Les Six, Tailleferre composed with clarity, wit, and an unmistakable voice. From piano works to orchestral music, her style remains vibrant and inventive today. Mentored and championed by Erik Satie, her music proves that talent cannot be contained by social expectations.

🤍 Explore her legacy in Pierpaola Porqueddu’s new album, Music of the Heart.

Dramatic but never heavy-handed. Paolo Ceccarini holds the balance between quiet sadness and pressing melancholy with care.

Clarinets, violin, and piano. Three releases worth your full attention this Friday. 🎶

🎵 Gervase de Peyer & Amici Italiani
The crowning jewel of a historic archival project. Baermann's Duo Concertant, Op. 33 makes its digital debut in a riveting 1997 live recording, with Gervase de Peyer, Vincenzo Perrone and Carlo Balzaretti trading virtuosic phrases in a dramatic narrative that resolves in radiant joy.

🎻 Violin Concerto in D major, Op.61
Tender and unhurried, Birgit Kolar's violin lifts your thoughts and settles the mind. Orquesta Reino de Aragon and conductor Ricardo Casero offer a luminous reading of Beethoven's beloved concerto.

☀️ Piano Sonata No. 20 in G Major, Op. 49 No. 2: II. Tempo di minuet
Deceptively simple, asking for stillness rather than spectacle. Vadim Chaimovich approaches this Beethoven gem with renewed maturity and a deeper sense of connection, as part of his ongoing sonatas project.

To everyone who has tuned in and made this channel part of their musical journey: thank you for this amazing milestone! ✨🎉

You are the reason this music finds its way into the world. Classical music is often called timeless, and perhaps that's why it still surprises us: how a melody written three centuries ago can still move us so completely. You understood that. You came back for it. And that means everything to us. ❤️

To our longtime listeners here since 2009: thank you. To those who joined recently: welcome, there's so much more to explore together!

Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts, and thank you to all the artists, musicians, and composers who keep music alive. 🎶

Seven new releases, seven different worlds. Welcome to New Music Friday. 🎵

⚡ Etudes, Op.10: No. 5 in G-flat major, 'Black Keys'
Playful, light, never forced. Paolo Ceccarini plays Chopin's sparkling pentatonic étude just as Liszt described it: a burlesque fantasy bursting with wit.

🎻 Concerto for Violin and Cello in B-flat major, RV 547: III. Allegro Molto
Brilliant and radiant, with rapid arpeggios pushing Mikael Samsonov and Alexey Lundin to their limits. Metamorphose String Orchestra frames them perfectly, present but never intrusive.

🚣‍♂️ Venezia Napoli, S. 162
A triptych portrait of Italy: Venetian variations, a slow nostalgic song, and a vivid Tarantella. Angelo Martino moves through each contrast with precision and natural grace.

🎹 Adagio and Allegro, Op.70
Cello and piano in true dialogue, anticipating and completing each other's phrases. Massimiliano Martinelli and Jonathan Floril move from quiet introspection to rhythmic urgency with effortless conviction.

🌀 Seg-Ments (for two Cellos and Drums)
Obsessive thought turned into sound. Mr & Mrs Cello build a hypnotic stream of repeating patterns and restless motion, rising to a powerful final cry that tries to break the cycle entirely.

🌅 Aurora
Sweet yet emotionally intense, Riccardo Maini's solo piano piece unfolds through delicate melodies and intimate atmospheres. Warmth, tenderness, and quiet passion in equal measure.

🌊 Oceanwalk
Ludwig Conistabile drifts along the edge where land dissolves into sea. Celtic harp, soft percussion, and the gentle rhythm of waves guide a contemplative, expansive inner journey.

🎻 11 Capricci for Cello: Capriccio VI
Expressive, melancholic, and quietly restless. Anfione Cello navigates the crossroads of Baroque and Classical with equal mastery in moments of deep lyricism and demanding technical passages.

🎼 Violin Concerto in D major, Op.61: III. Rondo
Grandeur and infectious joy in perfect balance. Orquesta Reino de Aragon and Ricardo Casero share a spirited dialogue so vivid it conjures the sweep of a grand ballroom.

☀️ Piano Sonata No. 19 in G Minor, Op. 49 No. 1: II. Rondo. Allegro
Light, elegant, and full of natural charm. Vadim Chaimovich brings warmth and clarity to this Beethoven gem, part of his ongoing piano sonatas project.

🎹 Ludovica
A delicate felt piano piece by Fabio Gangi and Dado, built on soft textures and a gentle melody. Quiet, intimate, and deeply reflective.
