We could tell you many things about the bts and the pre-production of this video but we will keep it short and just tell you that it was a journey, a crazy idea that slowly grew in our mind.
From the first brainstorming between and distant thousands of km at the time (one was in LA one in Vietnam); "why don't we tell about a crazy dreamer who wants to travel through time", "it could work"…
Then the call with to figure out the feasibility of building a steampunk version of a time machine. It had to seem real, but also somehow improvised, light and at the same time "alive"..
More importantly had to incorporate certain modular elements to be functional to the story. The thought of having to transport it from Italy to Denmark in a suitcase passing through airport security never slightly crossed our mind in that moment of creative ecstasy but something that later we had to deal with 😅
Meetings with followed, to discuss photography, the technical aspects and understand how to make everything look a bit more hygge 😁.
Then came the calls with Alex, our non-professional actor who, at the kind request of the hotel, took part in the filming; the decisions of the outfits and then the great set design work to recover all the props needed for the video. In short, an undoubtedly challenging experience, but one that has given us great satisfaction.
