Escale was born from a memory, the memory of these trips and these discoveries around the world. The ocean is for them the symbol of their escape, of their childhood memories. They were inspired by the movements of the waves: reminders of the smells, tastes of the exoticism of their various explorations that they wish to share with you through Escale.

Thanks to a blend of different infusions and distillations, they can create unique, innovative and inspiring associations and notes.

A harmonious blend of natural French liqueurs with an explosion of aromas of red fruits, oranges and spices.

Method :: Add all ingredients to a mixing glass and stir over ice. Strain into a double rocks over a large piece of clear ice. Garnish with a Fabbri Strawberry. Cheers!

I know I did an Easter cocktail yesterday, but seeing so many sweet and chocolatey cocktails I’ve totally caved and made one myself!

I justified buying the fancy brand of rice cakes today because I have the excuse ‘it will look good for the gram’. I’m sorry for the shameless rice cake flex.

“Maybe I should start buying more things for Instagram” is what leads me to spend ages research cameras and lenses I really want! I then remember that KFC costs money too and remove the items from the basket.

50ml 3 year old Calvados
12.5ml cacao blanc
25ml strawberry & raspberry syrup
Fancy rice cake garnish (raspberry and yogurt)

Cocchi Riserva La Venaria Reale is a special edition of Vermouth di Torino and in its very first edition.  I was lucky enough to get hold of two out of 1891 bottles.  Some of the botanics such as wormwood are planted in the Palace of Piedmont under special permit. Cocchi is the only house that has the permission.  The taste is quite similar to the regular Vermouth di Torino, but richer and smoother. .

When you are worried high intake of sugar due to liqueur and vermouth, use small glasses. That tiny glass only holds 3 oz, which is just perfect. Those oversized martini glass doesn't have a place in my bar.
