Restraint and inner intensity.

In the Sarabande from the French Overture, BWV 831: V, finds a visual counterpart in this reclining figure by Victor Paukstelis: a fragment of memory crossed by delicate blue marks that redirect the eye, like an ornament capable of changing the light of an entire musical phrase. . .
In her interpretation of Bach's Clavier-Übung, Papadopoulos brings the music to the modern piano with remarkable restraint, embracing the ceremonial pace of the Sarabande—that fragile balance between gravity and levitation, never entirely resolved.

La Sarabanda dall'Ouverture alla francese (French Overture), BWV 831: V, nelle mani di , trova il suo rispecchiamento in questo corpo disteso di Victor Paukstelis: un frammento di memoria, attraversato da segni azzurri che reindirizzano lo sguardo, come un ornamento che altera la luce di un'intera frase musicale. . .
Hélène Papadopoulos porta il Bach del Clavier-Übung al pianoforte moderno con gesto trattenuto, nel tempo cerimoniale della Sarabanda: quell'ambiguità tra caduta e levitazione che non si risolve mai del tutto.

➡ Pianist Hélène Papadopoulos weaves together interpretation, research, and reflection on sound. Born in Paris and shaped by diverse cultures, she has become a leading voice in Bach's repertoire, performing in international festivals and serving as artistic director of the Festival aux Chandelles in Alsace.
Her debut Martinville album presents a programme drawn from the monumental Clavier-Übung: the Italian Concerto, the French Overture, and the Four Duets. A Bach who transforms inherited forms from within, approached with structural clarity and a committed interpretive vision.
An important step in her journey. And in ours.

Nata a Parigi, cresciuta tra culture diverse, è da anni voce di riferimento nel repertorio bachiano, in festival internazionali e come direttrice artistica del Festival aux Chandelles in Alsazia.
