The Federal Forum Project
A solution for the Middle East conflicts
Can federalism offer a new path toward peace in the Middle East?
For decades, the Israeli-Palestinian conflict has seemed stuck between failed peace processes and a worsening one-sided reality. But across civil society, new ideas are emerging - based on shared governance, inclusion, and democratic innovation.
The online event “The Federal Forum Project: a solution for the Middle East conflicts” is tonight (21.00 CET - 19.00 UTC), and find out how federalist models are taking shape within Israeli and Palestinian communities - from the bottom up.
During the event, you will discover:
The experiences of the Israeli & Palestinian Democracy & Federalism Hubs
An in-depth look at the Federal Forum, a joint initiative gathering over a dozen models of federal cooperation
Perspectives from local peacebuilders and international federalists
A special preview of the Federalist Peace Forum taking place in Ventotene from 6 to 10 September

The UEF position about this topic:
This resolution was approved by the last FC Committee in Brussels: A federal solution to relaunch Israeli-Palestinian peace process.
The UEF condemns the ongoing violence in Gaza and Israel and calls for immediate international action to protect human rights and restore peace. The resolution urges the EU to pressure both Israel and Hamas to end hostilities, release hostages, and allow humanitarian aid into Gaza. It denounces war crimes, potential ethnic cleansing, and the destruction of civilian infrastructure.
The UEF supports suspending the EU-Israel Association Agreement and imposing sanctions on responsible actors. It calls for a “Two-State Plus” solution, promoting integration and a long-term federal framework for lasting peace in the region.
With federalists regards
