We are proud to announce 𝗝𝗮𝗰𝗼𝗯 𝗱𝗲 𝗛𝗮𝗮𝗻 as the 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗝𝘂𝗿𝘆 for the next edition of Flicorno d’Oro.

One of today’s most performed composers for concert band, Jacob de Haan (Heerenveen, 1959) is internationally renowned for works such as Oregon, Ross Roy, Ammerland, The Book of Urizen, and La Storia. His music—expressive, accessible, and often inspired by landscapes and epic tales—is played at festivals and contests all over the world.

Beyond composing, he is also a respected guest conductor and adjudicator at major wind band competitions across Europe, Asia, the Americas, and Australia.

This year, we are honored to welcome his vision and expertise to Flicorno d’Oro.

During Flicorno d’Oro, many musicians took part in our free workshops on brass & woodwind instrument maintenance — a great opportunity to learn best practices and tips to keep instruments in perfect shape! 🎷
