🎧 Extended Place is particularly happy to announce the release of 𝙇𝙤𝙪𝙇𝙖 𝙎𝙤𝙣𝙣𝙚𝙩𝙨, a new EP by Ivan Fedele, performed by Claudio Pasceri and the Ensemble Sequenza 9.3, conducted by Catherine Simonpietri!

𝙇𝙤𝙪𝙇𝙖 𝙎𝙤𝙣𝙣𝙚𝙩𝙨 is a work for cello and six female voices, based on three sonnets by Louise Labé, a major figure of the French Renaissance, whose emancipated poetic voice resonates through a vivid interplay between the cello and a female vocal ensemble shaped into a kaleidoscope of lyrical and timbral transformations.

The EP, produced for Extended Place by Alessandro Stella, and with the support of Reggia di Venaria, includes the live recording of the world premiere at the Late Spring Music Festival 2024 🎵

𝙇𝙤𝙪𝙇𝙖 𝙎𝙤𝙣𝙣𝙚𝙩𝙨 is OUT today on all streaming platforms and will soon be available in a precious 𝟰𝟱 𝗿𝗽𝗺 𝟭𝟮'' 𝗩𝗶𝗻𝘆𝗹 𝗲𝗱𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 at the Venaria bookshop 🎼

A meditative dialogue between two of Thelonious Monk’s most iconic ballads, the track weaves together their worlds into an intimate, unexpected medley in piano solo.

It is the second Single from the upcoming EP 𝙏𝙝𝙚𝙡𝙤𝙣𝙞𝙤𝙪𝙨 𝙈𝙤𝙣𝙠 𝙍𝙚𝙛𝙧𝙖𝙢𝙚𝙙 by No Trio For Cats, set to be released on June 6! 🎼

Choosing a personal path through these timeless masterpieces is no easy task, yet here, Andrea Saffirio does so with both sensitivity and depth.

This is his first solo piano release, offering a glimpse into a future project that will further explore the creative depths of solo performance.
