Only two weeks remain to visit 'Profili e Gesti' at rhinoceros gallery in Rome, in collaboration with Galerie kreo. Running until August 31, 2025, the exhibition presents works by Marco Campardo, Pierre Charpin, Jaime Hayon, Jean-Baptiste Fastrez, and Chris Kabel.

This second collaboration presents five designers whose practices engage with material experimentation, craftsmanship, and artistic expression. Through a dynamic interplay of forms, profiles, and gestures, the exhibition highlights how design shapes space, movement, and perception.

Galerie kreo is renowned as one of the most influential design galleries internationally, specializing in limited-edition contemporary pieces commissioned exclusively from top designers. "I'm proud to collaborate once again with the 'kreo world' to bring the works of five exceptional designers to Rome. This second edition of our pop-up reaffirms the inseparable fusion between design and art."—says Alessia Caruso Fendi, director of rhinoceros gallery.

Like much of the aura that surrounds HENRYTIMI (the universe of natural material artworks set up by Henry Timi) and every one of their new projects, there is always more than a bit of mystery involved. The questions of what, when and how all become distractions; and so, all you need to know is that HENRYTIMI's NOMOS HOTEL will be. In addition, with a prime site, nestled in the Regola Rione, or district, we know where it will be.

Despite Regola being the same as the Italian word for 'rule', the name is thought to derive from the word 'Renula' which refers to the soft silt that the Tiber, a stone's throw from the NOMOS site, still deposits during floods. This elemental, sedimentary story seems fitting for this new hotel and new dawn of accommodation brought to you by HENRYTIMI. In addition to the primal, local ingredient focus of the culinary offering from chef Giulio Zoli, we are expecting starkly beautiful 'raw rooms' with prodigious attention to material detail and spatial awareness.

“The Sea in the Mountains”, by internationally acclaimed artist Leiko Ikemura, is an evocative solo exhibition running from 23 August to 23 November 2025 at Bündner Kunstmuseum (Chur, Switzerland).

Curated by Damian Jurt, the exhibition reflects the artist’s profound engagement with the interplay between human existence and the natural world. Featuring 57 works—including paintings, sculptures, and four large-scale film projections—the exhibition offers a multifaceted and immersive exploration of Ikemura’s artistic evolution across different media.

Art and architecture, nature and space merge, transcending physical and temporal boundaries to fully embrace Ikemura’s inner universe. The exhibition design—by Philipp von Matt Architects, led by the renowned architect and Ikemura’s life partner—deliberately breaks with the rigid formal geometry of the Barozzi Veiga-designed museum, creating a spatial experience where the unexpected becomes possible.

SantoPalato is back—bigger, bolder, and still deeply Roman. Since opening in 2017, chef Sarah Cicolini's trattoria has redefined tradition, serving up offal, pasta, and Jewish-Roman flavors with an unapologetic modern edge. Now, after a major redesign by Næssi, the space feels as forward-thinking as the food. The ground floor, bathed in warm light, keeps the trattoria spirit alive with wooden tables (no tablecloths, just raw walnut and bold red metal inlays). Below, a terracotta-hued wine cellar, the Santa Cantina, doubles as an events space, a focal point for food, design, and creative collaborations. Expect the same punchy flavors: rigatoni alla pajata, coda alla vaccinara, crispy fried brain etc. But with improved comfort and a fresh energy, SantoPalato 2.0 is set to be a must-visit for anyone craving Rome at its most deliciously contemporary.

In Rome, STUDIOTAMAT designed the project for a precious Liberty-style villa nestled in the internal courtyard of a late 19th-century palace, along Viale di Trastevere. A hidden gem transformed by the studio into an urban refuge for a couple, whose original function remains uncertain: perhaps the caretaker's house of the old station, then a medical practice, according to the neighborhood's memory.

The project, which develops over three levels for a total of 80 square meters culminating in a terrace projecting over the greenery, starts from enhancing the unique pre-existing elements.

“The first step was subtraction—to give breathing room to these compact floors. We preserved the essential structure and original terracotta floors, but played with pure volumes, reflected surfaces, and a strong material thread. The mirrored ceiling above the blue volume creates a sense of vertical infinity. It was about amplifying spatial dynamism while keeping a coherent language throughout.”—says Matteo Soddu, Co-Founder of STUDIOTAMAT.

Discreetly nestled in one of Rome’s most characterful neighborhoods, this intervention captures the quiet charm of Trastevere Just like the district itself, where modest façades often hide unexpected treasures, this project reveals the latent beauty of a neglected house.Merging memory with material, and history with contemporary sensibility, STUDIOTAMAT has created a deeply rooted, yet strikingly modern urban refuge.
