Laertes VS. Worg - Orazi e Curiazi Ep • LYKOS VI

Two divergent visions, two contrasting yet somehow akin masteries collided.
Laertes, a veteran with legendary exploits, and Worg, a young tribunus militum rich in fervor, joined forces.
This EP, like the conflict between Rome and Alba Longa, presents itself as an eclectic collection of tracks. Its musical narrative reflects the epic battle of the 7th century B.C.
Thus, both in mythical antiquity and contemporary techno, the confrontation between powers and visions leads to the creation of an epic chapter, carved in vinyl and the legends of the times.

In Chapter VI of the Lykos epic, the destinies of two majestic cities from the VII century B.C., Rome and Alba Longa, intertwined in a confrontation that soon transformed into a titanic battle.
To avoid further bloodshed, the kids of this two cities appointed two groups of representatives to decide the outcome of the dispute. For Rome, the three brothers Horatii (Orazi), and for Alba Longa, the three Curiatii (Curiazi) twins.

Similarly, in the world of artists, a confrontation took shape. Two divergent visions, two contrasting yet somehow akin masteries collided. Laertes (Laertes), a veteran with legendary exploits, and Worg (Worg), a young tribunus militum rich in fervor, joined forces.

The vinyl, divided into side α and β, juxtaposes the reflective and tribal depth of deep-techno (side β) with the visceral, physical, and dancefloor-oriented aspect of techno (side α).

Label head Worg will perform for the first time in Japan 🇯🇵 South Korea 🇰🇷 and China 🇨🇳

It's difficult to find the right words to describe the excitement and happiness for my first tour in Asia!!!💥🥰✌🏻
The tour will last for a month, and during this time, I'll have the opportunity to see wonderful places, discover local cultures and traditions, and meet many new people.
I can't wait to immerse myself in the landscapes, monuments, art, and cuisine of three different countries! ✨🤩

A collective ritual like this we could never have imagined! ❤️‍🔥
To see such active participation, combined with a flow of energies and connections with kindred spirits, dance and music was something mystical and magical.
Lykos Records would like to thank the perfromers , and , who conducted this sound ritual.
But above all, we thank the people, friends, travellers and wayfarers who embarked with us on this journey from dusk until night, in the name of the Misteri Eleusini, creating something mythical.
We also thank the for being the temple where this pagan ceremony took place.

Lykos Records invites you to participate in a sonic journey through the thin veils of time that will lead you to the “Misteri Eleusini”, ancient pagan rites steeped in unfathomable mystery.

We unravel the riddles and secrets shrouded in the ancient sanctuary of Demeter at Eleusis.
Through the reverberations of ancient litanies and tribal rhythms, we will relive the myth of Persephone's abduction, and when she was dragged into darkness by the ruler of the Underworld. In a cycle of three phases steeped in mystery, we will follow the path of descent, quest and ascent.

In this event, performers will create a sound ritual, inviting your to feel the power of haunting rhythms, veiled melodies, and soundscapes envelop you and transport you into a vortex of revelations, in an experience that will awaken your connection to the ancient and the sacred.

We invite you to join us in this magical evening, in the splendid setting of 'The Magick Bar', under the starry skies of Rome, where the veil of the “Misteri Eleusini” (eleusinian mysteries) will be lifted for those who dare to enter the unknown.

Prepare to immerse yourself in enchantment, to dance with the shadows following the rhythm of forgotten gods and to lose yourself in the secrets of pagan rituals.

HAPPY LUPERCALIA TO ALL!!! 🐺🥳❤️‍🔥

Lupercalia legend says that this Roman festivity was celebrated on 13-15 February, in honour of the god Luperco (initially the wolf sacred to the god Mars, later the god Faun) or according to another hypothesis to venerate the miraculous suckling of the twins Romulus and Remus by the she-wolf.
It is no coincidence that these purification and fertility rites were performed in the cave called Lupercale where the twins would grow up.
It was probably the last pagan festival to be abolished. In fact, in the 5th century, Pope Gelasius issued an edict forbidding participation in this rite, and according to popular tradition, Gelasius is credited with the creation of the feast of St Valentine to replace the Lupercalia.
