Brad Mirman has always been an avid Street Photographer and after a successful career as a screenwriter and director he decided to travel the world and to photograph all its different Street cultures. The result of his new book “Street Life” has been a five years journey and is a visual tribute to the beautiful diversity of street cultures around the world. Inside this 200 pages hard- cover book you will find photographs that shine a light on a world few of us know… where people live on the fringes of society and play by their own rules. Through the lens of his camera he brings their life-styles into focus, documenting a world of gangsters, lowriders, bikers, homeless, tattoo artists and beautiful women.

“Una Certa Italia” is the first volume that collects the most significant photographs of Giuseppe Loy taken between 1959 and 1981. The Giuseppe Loy archive, after years of research and archival work, has collected more than a hundred images ranging from political commitment to a look at the customs of an Italy in profound change, a country described through the gaze of a photographer able to read between the lines of a unique society of its kind. With texts by Angelo Loy (president of the Photographic Archive Giuseppe Loy), Chiara Agradi (photography historian and curator), Margherita Guccione (director of MAXXI Architecture), Edoardo Albinati (writer), Alice Rohrwacher (director), Emilio Garroni (philosopher), Luca Massimo Barbero (director of the Institute of Art History of the Giorgio Cini Foundation), Bruno Corà (president of the Palazzo Albizzini Burri Collection Foundation) and Rosetta Loy (writer).

from 2007 DIRT DON’T HURT
- How we learned to deal with dirt and don’t get hurt -

The Rome based art collective Why Style was born in 1996 when the members of the graffiti crew The Riot Vandals, Pane, Joe, Stand and Nico joined forces together with artist Scarful. Why Style is involved in arts and crafts, enjoying photography, illustration, painting and graphic design. When they have the chance they love to be art and part in organizing art events, where they make in site installation made of recycled materials.
This book is their vision of the world or how they wanted to see it. They often work with and about trash, the garbage surrounding them, now they tried to use a different kind of trash: the dirt of human beings.
In some pages they ask for help, a way to make the world a better place, in others they can only stand and can’t stop looking the less or more evident atrocities, ruling statistics, freemasonry, prostitution.
This product wouldn’t exist without the internet.

So, yes, there definitely were things that could have been invented, but we didn’t invent anything. Not that we wanted to invent something new but weren’t able to; we simply never thought of trying.
