Cabum, Beat Records and Digitmovies are glad to present the first integral edition on CD of the original motion picture soundtrack of the movie Altrimenti ci arrabbiamo, THE score by composers Guido & Maurizio De Angelis.
After almost 50 years from the theatrical debut, the movie that marked the most in their fans memory one of the most beloved actors duo of all time, we succeed in publishing for the first time ever what the De Angelis Bros composed to score images, and there’s everything we were waiting for. Dune Buggy, both vocal and instrumental, across the fields, the firemen choir, the violinist music, the ballroom music, various background sonorities and so on.
The brilliant Stereo CD is released in a jewel case edition with a 12 pages booklet, mastering by Claudio Fuiano, liner notes by Daniele De Gemini, Luca Di Silverio and Claudio Fuiano, graphic layout by Daniele De Gemini.

Beat Records è lieta di riproporre su CD la OST di Ennio Morricone per il film Giallo “Il diavolo nel cervello” diretto nel 1972 da Sergio Sollima, sceneggiatura di Sergio Sollima e Suso Cecchi D’Amico, fotografia di Aldo Scavarda, montaggio di Sergio Montanari , musiche di Ennio Morricone, cast: Stefania Sandrelli, Keir Dullea, Micheline Presle, Tino Buazzelli, Renato Cestiè, Maurice Ronet, Orchidea De Sanctis, Gaia Germani, Gabriella Lepori, Giorgio Basso, Elsa Boni, produzione Maurizio Lodi Fe' Per Verona Produzioni, Universal Productions France, Distribuzione CIC
La trama:
Un bambino molto introverso chiamato Ricky, viene trovato con una pi***la in pugno vicino al ca****re di suo padre Fabrizio. Senza alcun dubbio le apparenze dicono che Ricky è l'uccisore di suo padre. Sandra, la madre del bambino rimane scioccata da questa notizia e per evitare lo scandalo, dannoso al buon nome della casata Osio De Blanc, la contessa De Blanc, madre di Sandra, fa ricoverare Ricky in un istituto per minorenni mentalmente instabili e costringe sua figlia a vivere rinchiusa in una delle ville di famiglia. Oscar, un ex pretendente di Sandra, verso il quale la donna non è insensibile, cerca di aiutarla, e chiede l'aiuto di un medico. Il dottore dopo aver accertato la buona salute mentale di Ricky inizia a sospettare dell'identità dell'assassino. Poiché alterna l'attività di medico a quella di improvvisato, ma capace investigatore, riesce a scoprire la verità facendo rivivere a Sandra il momento in cui accorse subito dopo l'uccisione di suo marito.
La musica:
All’epoca la General Music stampò un vinile con dieci tracce in stereo selezionate dall’autore (ZSLGE 55076), ristampato nel 1991 per la prima volta su CD in Giappone (SLCS-7245), ristampato expanded nel 2001 dalla Dagored su CD e vinile (RED 135-2 / RED 135 -1) e nel 2006 dalla Giapponese Verita Note (VQCD – 10035) e nel 2011 in Italia su CD dalla GDM (CD CLUB 7105). Per questa nostra ristampa CD (durata totale 59:34) abbiamo utilizzato il master stereo dell’album storico e le tracce extra tratte dai master mono della sessione originale che fu approvato da Ennio Morricone per le precedenti edizioni. Ennio Morricone ha composto una delle sue più magistrali colonne sonore per il genere Giallo scrivendo un tema principale intitolato “La ragione, il cuore, l’amore” che dopo un intro misterioso si sviluppa ritmicamente in chiave Pop con la voce di cristrallo di Edda Dell’Orso (Tr.1),ripreso poi in Tr.6, Tr.10,Tr.12,Tr.14,Tr.16,Tr.20. L’autore alterna a questo accattivante leit motiv il tema del viaggio con archi dissonanti in “Viaggio primo” (Tr.2), atmosfera bucolica con arrangiamento Pop in “Viaggio secondo” (Tr.5) e in “Viaggio terzo” (Tr.7) e piu’ mosso in “Viaggio quarto” (Tr.9).Sebbene il film sia ambientato nella luce solare d ‘estate, tutto il lato macabro della storia è sottolineato dai drammatici “Prima della rivoluzione” dove Morricone include frammenti di “Per Elisa” di Beethoven (Tr.3), “Oltre il silenzio” (Tr.4). Il ritorno su CD di questo importante titolo nella filmografia di Ennio Morricone vuole sinceramente omaggiare la sua Arte Musicale immensa.

Beat Records is pleased to reissue on CD the OST by Ennio Morricone for the Giallo film Il diavolo nel cervello, directed in 1972 by Sergio Sollima with a screenplay by Sergio Sollima and Suso Cecchi D’Amico, photography by Aldo Scavarda, editing by Sergio Montanari, music by Ennio Morricone, production by Maurizio Lodi Fe' Per Verona Produzioni and Universal Productions France, distribution by CIC, and a cast featuring Stefania Sandrelli, Keir Dullea, Micheline Presle, Tino Buazzelli, Renato Cestiè, Maurice Ronet, Orchidea De Sanctis, Gaia Germani, Gabriella Lepori, Giorgio Basso, and Elsa Boni.
The plot:
An introverted boy named Ricky is found with a gun in his hand near the body of his father, Fabrizio. It appears without a doubt that Ricky is his father's killer. Sandra, the boy's mother, is shocked by this news, and to avoid scandal, which would damage the good name of the Osio De Blanc family, Countess De Blanc, Sandra's mother, has Ricky committed to mental institution for juveniles and imprisons her daughter in one of the family villas. Oscar, a former suitor of Sandra's with whom she has remained friends, tries to help her by seeking the assistance of a doctor. After confirming Ricky's good mental health, the doctor begins to suspect the killer's identity, and moonlighting as an amateur but capable investigator, he manages to uncover the truth by making Sandra recount the moment she rushed to the scene following her husband's murder.
The music:
At the time, General Music issued a vinyl album with ten stereo tracks selected by the composer (ZSLGE 55076), which was reissued for the first time on CD in Japan in 1991 (SLCS-7245), reissued by Dagored in an expanded version in 2001 on CD and vinyl (RED 135-2 / RED 135 -1), in 2006 on CD by Verita Note in Japan (VQCD – 10035), and in 2011 on CD in Italy by GDM on CD (CD CLUB 7105). For this CD reissue (total running time 59:34), we used the stereo master tapes of the original album sessions and the extra tracks taken from the mono master tapes of the original sessions, which were approved by Ennio Morricone for previous editions.
Morricone composed one of his most masterful scores for the thriller genre by writing a main theme entitled “La ragione, il cuore, l’amore,” which after a mysterious intro develops rhythmically in a pop style with the crystalline voice of Edda Dell’Orso (Tr.1) and is reprised in Tr.6, Tr.10, Tr.12, Tr.14, Tr.16, and Tr.20. The composer alternates this captivating leitmotif with dissonant strings in “Viaggio primo” (Tr.2), a bucolic atmosphere with a pop arrangement in “Viaggio secondo” (Tr.5) and “Viaggio terzo” (Tr.7), and a more lively one in “Viaggio quarto” (Tr.9). Although the film is set in the bright atmosphere of summer, the macabre side of the story is underlined by the dramatic “Prima della rivoluzione,” where Morricone includes fragments of Beethoven’s “Für Elise” (Tr.3), “Oltre il silenzio” (Tr.4). The return on CD of this important title in Ennio Morricone’s filmography is a sincere homage to his immense musical talent.
