Film festival kicks off in Madrid with Fresu and Guerritore. The Italian Film Focus closes today in South Africa. (ANSA) - CAPE TOWN, 01 DIC - The Italian Film Focus (Iff) debuted in South Africa 25 years ago at the Sithengi Film Festival, creating a cultural bridge that continues to unite Italy and South Africa.
Over the years, Iff has brought hundreds of Italian films and dozens of directors, screenwriters and producers to the country, with screenings in Cape Town, Johannesburg and Durban, alongside master classes, workshops and co-production meetings.
Each year the Italian delegation meets with South African students and professionals at the Afda Film School and the University of Cape Town (Uct), sharing skills and opportunities.
