The first run (ltd. 100) of Lords of Quarmall's epic, underground metal classic was released only just recently, but instantly sold-out.
A new pressing will be available from Demonolatry on Sept 8.
This second run of 180 copies won't be hand-numbered and will have a different insert.
Once again we'll get to distribute a share of copies. The album will be in stock in time for Pyrenean Warriors Open Air.

It's been four years since the unexpected and devastating news of Eric Wagner's passing. Eric contracted COVID while on tour with The Skull and The Obsessed, and was eventually hospitalized with pneumonia.

In February 2021 I was introduced to Eric via Tom Philips, who at the time was acting as Cruz Del Sur Music A&R. Eric was looking for a label to release his solo album “In The Lonely Light of Mourning”, so this was exciting news as someone who grew up listening to Trouble. I was in disbelieve that I had a chance to work with Eric! Most of the conversations between us were carried out through Mike Smith, a truly wonderful and passionate human being. If I have to rescue a positive side of this tragic event, it's that I came across Mike (and Ron Holzner!), such a cool and down to earth guy.

The recording of “In the Lonely Light of Mourning” was finished before The Skull went on tour, it just had to be mastered. The initial plan was to release the album in Autumn, after the tour was over.
But once mastering was complete, Mike and I talked and agreed to not release it immediately, feeling that it would have been a disrespectful and greedy move. We also wanted to give the album the best treatment possible, so we contacted Katrina Von Rose, a very talented Maltese photographer who had shot a wonderful photo session with Eric. Katrina provided the beautiful picture you see on the front cover.

“In The Lonely Light of Mourning” was finally released in March 2022. I am very proud it was out on Cruz Del Sur Music, it’s one of the highlights of the label. Because it’s a real album. Not the typical useless solo album ‘by the singer of… ’. It’s made of great music. Even if that wasn’t the initial idea, it is a testament of Eric’s music and the magic he has always been able to offer with his voice. And the title track is one of the most beautiful songs ever released on this label, so sad and prophetic.

Rest in peace Eric.

Seattle speed metal masters Solicitor are back with their 2nd studio album entitled: "ENEMY IN MIRRORS"

Sölicitör have gained a loyal following since their formation in 2018. With a demo and EP released in 2019 and their debut studio album in 2020, the band have proven to be prolific in the studio. Equally, their live performances have reached audiences across the globe with festivals like Keep It True among the more impressive achievements. To finally arrive at this point after five years is an achievement in and of itself. After surviving the pandemic, the loss of rehearsal spaces, studio spaces, venues, and post-Covid touring here in the US it’s no wonder it’s taken so long to finally bring this together.

This album was built on blood, sweat and struggle, personal catastrophes and triumphs, division and uncertainty - ultimately pulled together by dedication to a long term vision and determination above all odds to deliver performances that will surely outlast our previous offerings. We believe in the integrity of these songs, as a representation of our evolution and arrival to this point. This album is darker, more melodic, much more expressive, personal, and may take some by surprise for better or worse. Themes of the paranormal, revenge and retribution, betrayal, and a steadfast commitment to heavy metal and all that has come before us as we continue to pursue and mark our place in a drastically different and ever changing landscape.

The first single “Iron Wolves Of War” was originally written for Matt’s previous band Cerna Krev but has never been released. We rewrote a portion of the lyrics, and invited the original Cerna Krev singer Leif Julin to perform harsh backing vocals on the choruses and bridge parts of the song.

Expect the unexpected with Solicitor....

It's a great example for how we can rethink our place in that weird, all encompassing, and absolutely essential thing and what lessons we can and should draw from the past about it."

We've come across dozens of reviews for the new Phantom Spell album, so a few have slipped through he cracks! This one from last month comes courtesy of Heavy Blog Is Heavy, and goes deep into the themes of "Heather & Hearth".

I love this album so much for how it melds amazing music with its important themes and I can't wait to spend years and years getting to know it better.
