🌎 “Earth Day, Each Day”. 🌍

Today starts a movement with a lifetime membership for all people worldwide. Yesterday was Earth Day. Today we begin Each Day.
Let’s put into action Jane Goodall’s well known words, “I urge everyone to treat every day of the year as Earth Day.”

🌳 Be the change. Join the movement. 🌳

Earth Day in the Garden.
~The world is bigger than all of us.
A mere blue dot in outer space.
Yet, even Atlas struggled to carry the weight of the world.
There is a lightness that comes from tending our little patch of earth.
Mother Earth wants us to unshoulder the burden.
Like any good mother, she loves to reciprocate.
Knowing my mother as I do, she would be grateful to have us do what we can close to home. ..to get on in our habitat like good siblings around the table.
She would be proud if our good deeds could go out as far as a farm, a school garden, a watershed, a green corridor, or an environmental stewardship movement
But she would be just as grateful and proud to have us start right here at home.
Earth's bouquet is ours to enjoy and share.
Earth, Air and Water - our gift to sustain for all of her grandchildren.

NOMA is a world-renowned restaurant in Copenhagen, Denmark, famous for pioneering New Nordic Cuisine, focusing on local, foraged, and fermented ingredients, and has been named the World's Best Restaurant multiple times. Founded by René Redzepi and Claus Meyer, its name is a portmanteau of the Danish words "nordisk" (Nordic) and "mad" (food). The restaurant is known for its innovative, seasonal menus (seafood, vegetable, and game) and its significant impact on global gastronomy, though it announced it would close its regular operations at the end of 2024 to transition into a food lab.

“One of the most educated music lovers you’ll encounter..” Our Anthony Bourdain segment continues, blending music, art, travel & food.

There’s a lot to admire about the late, great Anthony Bourdain. A wonderfully gifted chef, a more-than-talented writer, and one of the most educated music lovers you’ll encounter. His ability to provide the perfect soundtrack to dishes during his show Parts Unknown is a part of what made the series unmissable television. 🙌🎶

Never afraid to show his vulnerability or allow his personality to be diminished by media training, Bourdain operated under the guise of being one of “the realest motherf**kers” around. It was his ability to weave humanity between the gaps in his armour that made him more than just a TV chef. Bourdain was someone who could connect with the dropouts, the loners, the up-all-nighters, largely because he was one.

Much of that devotion to being a true representation of himself came from his pure and unbridled love of punk rock. Much like the brutality of the music itself, Bourdain put his heart on his sleeve when it came to his favourite songs, and it makes the visceral sounds of punk the obvious choice for some of his favourite moments from the musical world.
