Puppy weights are often a distraction in this breed-too many times recently I have been mentioned so and so pup, with x amount of weeks, weighs this much. There is little to no importance on puppy weights. Basically if the bloodline supports it, it might give you a dog over 200lbs, it is not common and rare if impossible with most mastini bloodlines. Most mastini will fall in to the average weights of today’s males, between 145 to 175lbs despite how big it is or it is not at 6-24 weeks. When should you start to consider you have an XXL Mastini. From what I experience seeing is when a dog reaches around 9-12 months, and the Mastini is over the 175lbs you have a chance of having that XXL size Mastini. Therefore if you are out there looking at the breed, and you start to hear or talk about puppy weights, give little to no importance.
