🥁 WELCOME BACK, RAB! 🎉
Livingston Caledonia Pipe Band are absolutely delighted to announce the appointment of Rab McCutcheon as our new Leading Drummer.
Rab returns to Livingston Caledonia with an outstanding wealth of experience and an exceptional track record of success. Most recently, he played a key role with the Glasgow Skye Association, helping secure the Grade 2 World Championship Drumming title in 2023, alongside multiple major championship victories. In 2025, Glasgow Skye went on to become Grade 2 World Champions and Champion of Champions.
In 2026, Rab enjoyed further success with Livingston Caledonia, becoming part of a drum corps crowned Scottish, British and World Champion, as well as Champion of Champions.
Alongside his competitive achievements, Rab has had a distinguished military career, retiring last year as the Senior Drum Major (Highland Drumming) in the British Army. During his service, he had the honour of leading the Massed Pipes and Drums at the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo, one of the most iconic events in the world of piping and drumming.
Rab’s knowledge, leadership, dedication and passion for drumming will be an incredible asset to the band, and we are thrilled to welcome him into this important role.
We are excited for the next chapter under Rab’s leadership and look forward to seeing what we can achieve together.
