Four Flies was founded in 2015 as a record label aiming to rescue from oblivion vintage Italian soundtracks and library music, especially obscure or underrated works that were never circulated outside the Italian film, radio and television industry of the 60s, 70s and 80s. Like film-and-music archaeologists, the people at Four Flies have rediscovered, re

stored, and made available to listeners all over the globe lesser-known or previously unreleased music by the likes of Piero Umiliani, Alessandro Alessandroni, Giuliano Sorgini and Silvano D’Auria, contributing significant additions to their discographies. More recently, the label has been taking the reissue and vintage niche beyond its confines to build a bridge between yesterday and today, between heritage composers and contemporary artists.

Orfeo in Paradiso is the previously unreleased soundtrack composed by Fabio Fabor for the 1971 RAI miniseries directed by Leandro Castellani, based on Luigi Santucci’s novel.

Built around a single melancholic theme, the score unfolds through elegant variations, blending baroque instrumentation with jazz influences and a subtle pop sensibility.

Harpsichord, classical guitar, Hammond organ, flute, vibraphone, and a restrained rhythm section shape a timeless, atmospheric sound.

After “Nude per l’assassino” and “Li chiamavano i tre moschettieri... Invece erano quattro” we’re back with more restored lost tapes from the archives of Berto Pisano and Elsio Mancuso.

This one is like a rare, “behind-the-scenes” look at the duo’s versatility in the sounds of their time. Recorded in the late 1960s (most likely for an advertising campaign), “Arcobaleno di Sogni” features seven previously unreleased variations on a single theme—drifting between romantic orchestral arrangements, jazzy easy listening, and dreamy bossa nova.

“Hurriya (We Must Resist)” is the second single coming ahead of Psyché’s new album, Psyché II.

The song is a sonic bridge crossing the Mare Nostrum from Naples to North Africa, with vocals and oud by Tunisian artist Ziad Trabelsi , whose Arab roots beautifully intertwine with the band’s Mediterranean psychedelia to create an evocative groove that gallops like horses in the desert.

“Hurriya” (Arabic for ‘freedom’) is an anthem of resistance and resilience, a dialogue between East and West that dissolves the rigid boundaries of geography and politics. It is a hymn against oppression, abuse, and injustice everywhere; a reminder that we must always resist, and refuse to disappear.

Come un’onda profonda che unisce il Mare Nostrum da Napoli al Nord Africa, il brano fa confluire la voce e l’oud dell’artista tunisino Ziad Trabelsi e le loro sonorità arabeggianti nella psichedelia mediterranea degli Psyché, creando un groove incalzante che evoca una cavalcata nel deserto.

“Hurriya”, parola araba che significa libertà, è un inno alla resistenza e alla resilienza, un dialogo tra Oriente e Occidente che dissolve i rigidi confini della geografia e della politica. Un canto contro tutte le oppressioni, i soprusi e le ingiustizie, ovunque nel mondo. Per ricordarci che dobbiamo resistere, sempre. Dobbiamo rifiutarci di sparire.

La produzione, affidata a Pasquale Strizzi, mescola elettronica, tradizione popolare e jazz-fusion accompagnando la cantautrice salernitana in una narrazione personale sospesa a metà: da un lato la città d’origine, Salerno, e dall’altro quella adottiva, Roma, entrambe scenari di attese silenziose e ferite da ricucire.

Fuori ora “Jesce Sole”, il primo assaggio del nuovo album di Chiaré , “Sei”, in arrivo a gennaio 2026 su Four Flies Records, con il contributo di Nuovo Imaie.

Sospeso tra jazz contemporaneo, eleganza cantautoriale e radici mediterranee, “Jesce Sole” si dispiega come un viaggio intimo che parla di attesa, rinascita e piccole rivelazioni quotidiane.

Il singolo, prodotto da Pasquale Strizzi, è impreziosito dal featuring di Gnut , la cui elegante e malinconica voce porta a compimento il racconto di Chiaré.

“Jesce Sole” è arrivato di colpo, con testo, melodia e accordi, ma si è fermato a metà: avevo solo una strofa e un ritornello.” – descrive Chiaré – “Per mesi ho provato a completarlo, finché ho capito che quella seconda parte doveva scriverla qualcun altro. Così ho scritto a Gnut, uno dei miei cantautori preferiti. Ha accettato subito e insieme abbiamo dato forma a questo brano che parla di luce, attesa e rinascita”.

Gli Psyché fanno tappa nella Capitale live a Pianeta Sonoro 🌀

In occasione della release del secondo singolo estratto dal nuovo album, previsto per il 2026 con , il gruppo si esibirà con l’artista tunisino .trabelsi per presentare Hurriya (We Must Resist), il secondo singolo (disponibile per l’occasione in anteprima nel formato 45 giri), che è un richiamo alla resistenza e alla libertà.

Sezione ritmica d’oro della scena napoletana (Bassolino, Parbleu, The Funkin’ Machine, Nu Genea live band) e già in rotazione sui canali di Iggy Pop, Four Tet (BBC Radio 6) e KCRW (USA), gli ritornano dopo il primo album omonimo del 2023, con un funk psichedelico dal groove mediterraneo.

La serata proseguirà poi con il dj set di Margot e Silver Boy 💥
