Four Flies Records Italian golden age soundtracks & brand new music with a cinematic feel.

Four Flies was founded in 2015 as a record label aiming to rescue from oblivion vintage Italian soundtracks and library music, especially obscure or underrated works that were never circulated outside the Italian film, radio and television industry of the 60s, 70s and 80s. Like film-and-music archaeologists, the people at Four Flies have rediscovered, re

stored, and made available to listeners all over the globe lesser-known or previously unreleased music by the likes of Piero Umiliani, Alessandro Alessandroni, Giuliano Sorgini and Silvano D’Auria, contributing significant additions to their discographies. More recently, the label has been taking the reissue and vintage niche beyond its confines to build a bridge between yesterday and today, between heritage composers and contemporary artists.

Deep grooves, electric heat. Straight from 1974 Milan.
A holy grail for library diggers finally returns to wax.

The first official LP reissue of Woman’s Colours by the Barigozzi Group is out today.

An exquisite alchemy of jazz-funk Rhodes and Wurlitzer (Oscar Rocchi), fuzz guitars (Sergio Farina), smoky flutes (Giancarlo Barigozzi), and late-night Afro-Latin pulses (Tullio De Piscopo) that helped set the golden standard for Italian library music.

Originally released on Fonovideo under the supervision of Fabio Fabor, now revived by Four Flies with restored artwork and deluxe tip-on sleeve treatment.
For fans of Head Hunters-era fusion, deep session cuts and impossibly stylish Italian funk.

Out now on vinyl and, for the very first time ever, in digital format.
Also available as a bundle with the exclusive Barigozzi Group T-shirt designed by

"I start up the car... the smell of petrol, the Ufo Bar, the cassette player, the Erry tapes, the sea, the smuggled ci******es... I turn the volume up... the hot wind through the window, the beat-up road, the desperate souls on bicycles, the scorching sun, the cement desolation, the ancient pine forests, the disappointments, watching the World Cup with friends, the great Magna Graecia, the rubbish, the Germans on holiday, the clandestine dancehalls, the summer loves, the ancient friezes, the modern gashes, the abandoned discotheques, the invisible stolen girls, the oasis and the dunes, the memories with my dad, the sea lilies, the illegal houses, the posidonia, the arrogance of defilers, the tellina man, the bombs resurfacing from the sand".

The Costa Sud is wherever Beauty turns decadent; here, life flows like a perennial sunset.

Nicola Conte & Nico Lahs reimagine Italian library and film music trough an Afro-groove lens.

Four tracks by five maestros – Piero Umiliani, Gianfranco Reverberi, Giuliano Sorgini, Romolo Grano & Gianni Oddi – get a sleekly restrained yet irresistibly magnetic treatment. Conte & Lahs weave in tribal pulsations and hypnotic loops, amplifying the rhythmic potential of the original recordings and propelling them from the archives onto today’s dancefloors.

The most club-oriented chapter of our RELOVED series is out on 12 June.

A deeper descent into ritual and rhythm.

“Orgiastic Ritual (Nicola Conte & Nico Lahs Afro Club Mix)” is the second digital single coming ahead of Conte & Lahs’s vinyl EP from Four Flies’ Reloved series.

After revisiting Piero Umiliani’s “Nel Villaggio,” the duo turn to the shadowy atmospheres of Gianfranco Reverberi’s mesmeric cut, originally released as South African Combo and featured in Renato Polselli’s cult film Black Magic Rites (1973).

Preserving the hypnotic core of the original, Conte and Lahs shape a deep, essential tribal pulse, where esoteric tension is amplified and set in motion.

A track suspended between cinema and club: nocturnal, spellbound, quietly transcendental.

The Barigozzi Group’s Woman’s Colours has returned.

The library masterpiece from the consummate trio of saxophonist and flautist Giancarlo Barigozzi, guitarist Sergio Farina, and pianist Oscar Rocchi arrives in its first official vinyl reissue (and digital debut) on May 29th and is now available for pre-order.

To celebrate, we are also dropping an exclusive T-shirt featuring the iconic cover art—available individually or as part of a special Vinyl + Tee bundle!

Emerging from the effervescent Milanese scene of the early ’70s, the Barigozzi Group produced some of the most exquisite Italian library LPs in the genre, with Woman’s Colours (1974) standing as their crowning achievement. Originally released on Fonovideo under the artistic supervision of Fabio Fabor, the album was conceived as a refined tribute to the female form, with each track pairing a colour with a part of the body.

The result is a smooth, groovy, and seamless journey where jazz-funk and jazz-rock interfuse with bossa nova, exotica, Afro-inspired rhythms, and subtle prog touches. This elegant alchemy of Fender Rhodes, fuzz guitars, airy flutes, and driving basslines has earned the record true cult status—not only as a cornerstone of Italian library, but as a foundational work in the definition of the Italian psycho-beat sound.

Presented in a premium tip-on sleeve with meticulously restored artwork by , this edition marks the album’s first official return to vinyl.

If the Fab Four had traded Abbey Road Studios for Rome’s Piper Club in 1969, it might have sounded like this…

The Fabulous Fabor captures a defining moment in the career of maestro Fabio Fabor—a composer and conductor who moved effortlessly between Italian film music, avant-garde exploration, and the visionary world of library sound.

Diving headfirst into Italy’s obsession with the British beat, Fabor fused it with the Roman psych-lounge scene, where jazz, bossa nova, and baroque textures blend into a refined “Mediterranean beat.”

Recorded with an elite ensemble featuring members of the legendary Marc 4, these tracks—including seven previously unreleased or unheard alternate versions—are the ultimate soundtrack for a late-sixties Riviera escape, echoing the same sonic universe as Max Raffeng Vol. 4 and the subsequent Ballabili (Underground) trilogy.

A concentrated dose of 1960s Italian cool. Out now.
