Ambra Multimedia was founded in November 2012 as a new format production and TV content company. Founded by Marco Bassetti, formerly president and Coo of Endemol Group, in the last part of 2013, Banijay Entertainment took over the majority of Ambra capital. ive in a number of countries, across Europe, USA and Australia. In May of 2013 Banijay announced that it reached agreements for the acquisition of part of Ambra Multimedia, so to have access to the Italian TV market and to consolidate its own presence in Europe. Even though being a young company Ambra has already affirmed its presence among the major TV production companies in Italy, producing entertainment shows for the major TV channels such as Rai and Mediaset, developing also new original formats currently distributed worldwide. In February 2014 the company was renamed Ambra Banijay Italia Srl. Ambra currently controls a group of companies of recent foundation specialized in the production of different TV contents and characterized by a strong entrepreneurship:

Aurora TV Srl: controlled production company developing script entertainment project and producing fiction, soap and TV series. Nonpanic Srl: company strongly focused on the production of new formats and programs for cable and satellite channels as well as for the thematic channels of DTT, the digital TV platform.
