My wife and I live on and operate a research vessel in Alaska, USA between SE and the Bering Sea, but we winter in Petersburg. This is from our dock in the harbor. We love every inch of Alaska - the cold, snow, and rain as well as the countless whales, otters, sea lions, porpoises, and glaciers that make up our day to day life. It isn't glamorous or particularly easy but it makes us feel alive every single day.

This is the Parthenon from my flat in Athens, Greece, at about 6 p.m. when they turn the lights on. Not exactly sure when I took this one and it is not always as dramatic with clouds coming in but this is why I chose this one! Please state where you are and stay safe everybody, we are in this together!

Looking off the patio of the home I inherited from my mom in Lamar, MO USA. Mom collected carousel horses. When my brother’s boss told him to get rid of the castings for some playground equipment, he asked if he could buy them. The boss told him to get them out of the way and he could have them. Mike took them to our mom’s house and the two of them spent the summer assembling and painting the largest carousel she ever owned. When my brother was killed in an accident, my mom moved to be closer to my family. My sons and husband dug up the carousel pieces and transported them here. I smile every morning when I first look out the door and see them.
