Experiment N # 897

People who got early access to the deck keep asking me the same thing: “what does the graphic on the package and on the back of the cards actually mean??”

Fair question.

The answer is… it’s a project inside the project! 🪆🪆🪆

This gliphic language has always existed in the background of what I was doing. I’m just taking the time now to give it a structure, to build a glossary.

But obviously I couldn’t just print it clean and call it done. I wanted this glossary to be a piece itself, something that behaves like the language it’s trying to explain.

So I plotted every glyph with fluorescent ink on an A3 sheet. Under normal light it almost disappears, like it doesn’t want to be read. Then you hit it with blue or UV light and everything starts glowing in a way that honestly feels a bit unreal.

And of course, the camera can’t capture it properly. It flattens everything, kills half of the experience.

But instead of fixing that, I kind of like it.

In a time where everything is made to live on a screen, this is something that only really works if you see it in person.

Which… feels exactly right

Nobody starts as a master. Every great artist, designer, or creator learns from someone, whether it’s a mentor, a course, or just hours of trial and error. The Hierophant is that guide. He’s not here to box you in but to hand you the tools that will actually make you better.

In 3D and digital art, this is the phase where tutorials, workflows, and best practices start making sense. It’s when you realize that clean topology actually matters, that good lighting isn’t just about throwing in an HDRI, that there’s a reason some compositions just work. It’s about understanding why things look good so you can make better creative choices on purpose.

This card reminded me that skill isn’t just talent. It’s what you build over time. What’s something you’ve learned that completely changed the way you create?

🃏 The Emperor - The Power of Limits 🏛️✨ 5/78

Too much freedom can be paralyzing. When everything is possible, where do you begin? Creativity isn’t just about endless exploration, ideas needs structure to take shape, to become something clear and impactful.

The Emperor is that structure. He’s the framework that holds an idea together, not just conceptually but visually. In 3D and digital art, this is the moment when rules become a tool, not a cage. It’s choosing a limited color palette to create coherence, defining proportions to give balance, setting constraints so that every element serves a purpose. Limits don’t kill creativity—they refine it, making an image stronger, more consistent, more real.

This card reminded me that boundaries aren’t obstacles; they can become the foundation of powerful designs.

🃏 The Empress - Wild Growth 🌿✨ 4/78

The Empress is the creative force that bursts forth and expands without asking for permission. Here, ideas can’t be controlled—they grow, intertwine, and take up space. It’s unstoppable fertility, instinct manifesting without the need for logic.

In 3D and digital art, this is the phase where the work escapes rigid rules and becomes organic. Sketches fill with spontaneous details, forms blend, and chaos transforms into harmony.

This card reminded me that creativity is not just about method—it’s about letting things come to life on their own.

In the Tarot deck, the High Priestess embodies mystery, inner knowledge, and silent wisdom. Sitting between two columns, she holds the keys to deep knowledge, bridging the real world and the spiritual realm. She guards secrets that are not revealed to everyone, but only to those who can look beyond the surface. The High Priestess also represents intuition before words, the knowledge that reveals itself only to those who have the patience to seek it.

After the Fool’s leap into the unknown, here comes the Magician: a symbol of taking control, mastering your tools, and turning ideas into reality.
It’s the moment where raw energy gets a purpose and chaos becomes creation.
The Magician knows exactly what he’s doing—he’s got the skills, the tools, and the drive to make things happen.

Just like the Magician masters the elements, a 3D artist rules the core of their craft: modeling, texturing, lighting, and rendering. It’s that turning point where intuition meets technique, and inspiration transforms into something real.

If the Fool made me explore an aesthetic, the Magician challenged me to prove it could stand strong. Creativity isn’t just about having ideas—it’s about knowing how to shape them with method, discipline, and a little bit of magic.
