DAX DJ : His slogan is “may the funk be with you!” that’s saying a lot about a boundless passion Dario Bedin, DAX DJ at turntables, has for the music that he essentially defines as something religious. A dj and collector of a ton of vinyl records who has created/promoted Jazz Not Dead festival and some of the most interesting realities of the contemporary underground scene – including also Partyha

rdy – which highlight Vicenza as a sounding-board for electronic independent music followers. As well he’s the founder of Family House: a movement committed to the underground music which is also a net magazine where DAX reviews releases, interviews leading exponents of the scene, promotes events, publishes music charts … just spreading genuine club culture. Such an activism has brought him to gain a significant reputation: he has been doing the rounds of the international scene playing in London, Paris, Lisbon and Berlin, sharing decks with Italian and foreign artits like Larry Heard, Daniel Wang, Morgan Geist, Mike Huckaby, Daniele Baldelli, Bjorn Torske, Sadar Bahar, Stevie Kotey, Danny Krivit, Prosumer, Tama Sumo, Dan Shake, DJ Sotofett, Jamie 3:26 … just to name a few of a long series. E’ un disco canadese del 1995, uscito su etichetta Definitive Recordings e recentemente ristampato e rimasterizzato su Chiwax . Lo consiglio vivamente, perché ancora attuale e molto ! Per chi cerca della House Classic che faccia la differenza, ma non solo: contiene delle altre bombe più spinte ed acid! Un disco che non passa mai di moda.

It’s a Canadian album from 1995, released on the Definitive Recordings label and recently reissued and remastered on Chiwax. I highly recommend it, because it’s still relevant and very underground! For those looking for classic house that makes a difference, but not only that: it contains other more aggressive and acid bombs! An album that never goes out of style.

Per resistere all’inferno usa e getta di mode e trend musicali proposti dall’algoritmo, abbiamo solo due strade: ascoltare e ballare.

Farlo bene.

Per riconnettersi con lo spirito originario del club - quello di scoperta e libertà d’espressione - invece, la strada è una sola: fidarsi del DJ e della sua esperienza.

Di DAX DJ noi ci fidiamo ciecamente, perché fa questo da sempre e perché basta vedere come si muove dietro la consolle per capire che lo fa con passione.
