The Hidden Thread – A Fairytale
This is not just a book. It is a narrative object, a ritual, a secret passage into Roberto Novello’s personal idea of luxury.
A luxury that does not shout, but whispers. That does not flaunt, but enchants.
It all began over a glass of wine at dinner. A conversation, a memory, a vision—fragile and bold—was born. From that moment came the desire to tell a story. Not just any story, but the story of a man and his way of seeing the world through beauty, craftsmanship, and time.
The book unfolds like a fairytale from another era—delicate, symbolic, layered. It is a tale woven with five key concepts: time, hands, faith, thought, and heritage. Each chapter opens with a symbolic illustration: conceptual metaphors, visual haikus that resonate like the quiet notes of an unseen orchestra. Every page carries a rhythm, a sense of breath.
The material form of the book reflects its spirit. The choice of paper gives the pages a tactile intimacy. The Japanese binding leaves the thread partially hidden, echoing the title. Details are printed in metallic gold, subtle and refined.
And only one printing house had the courage to take on this “impossible” request: , who crafted every detail with artisan care.
The direction and editorial vision were led by Onymous Studios - and .ubu , with .miotto_ as graphic designer.
“The Hidden Thread” is exactly that: the invisible line that connects ideas, gestures, generations. A thread that doesn’t show off, but holds everything together. Quiet. Essential. Timeless.
