I love to create memorable moments for people. I always entertain, I teach Italian cooking, I cater dinners for parties, and I go all over the US to share my passion for anything beautiful and delicious pertaining to Italy. This was a dinner I did at a flowers farm in Lummis, California. The set up was amazing! We were surrounded by roses, and fruit trees. Chickens, chicks, ducks and peacocks were running wild. The farm had a few baby goats, and even a pig. I loved every minute of it! I drove 9 hours and cooked for two days. Here are a few pictures. As an appetizers, I made lobster rolls and bisque, a prosciutto e melone and bruschetta al pomodoro. They set down and a wonderful home made lasagna was served. The noodles made by hands and so was the bolognese and besciamella sauce. They had a trio of veggies, a nice Mediterranean salad with herbs from her garden, a chicken piccata, hot focaccia bread and to finish a nice tiramisu and my hand made cannoli. So much food and drinks. They were crawling on the way out.
I love anything that brings joy to people. Makes me happy, and I feel alive. I got one dinner north of Seattle in a couple of weeks. A small group of 15 ladies. It will be amazing! Seafood will be in the menu

“ What if you could skip the touristy local businesses and could not only taste excellent genuine local produce, but be the only one to have access to its behind the scenes, family-owned production facility? What if the family does not cooperate with any travel agencies as they love to preserve their privacy and slow rithm of life but open their door only for you, my welcomed guests? What if the produce is not commercial but produced only for a narrow and expert range of clients? And, most importantly, what if the produce is the result of a very passionate and careful process rooted in the ancient local italian tradition? ❤️🇮🇹

Yes! Most of my tours are based on History which is never separated from the local culture!!
Doing my best to let you experience AUTHETICIY is my main target!

The following pics were taken a few weeks ago😊
They show:
the Olive grove which consists of 2000 Olive trees; three varieties of extravergin olive oil; a local family who has been running the mill for 3 generations; an in house mill 😍 and, being the pruning period, my guests and I while we talk with Massimiliano and Francesco (family's friends who were cutting the branches when we arrived)
Some pictures portay the beautiful view enjoyed from the historical centre of Tuscania, a tuff cliff top little town, and its amazing Medieval Churches, so very well preserved as to be often used for movies set in the medieval era 💙”

“Stunning vacation hot spot turns into overcrowded nightmare as tourists flood streets”.

“The Amalfi Coast draws millions of tourists each year and the surge is now straining the region.”

“Footage captured on May 1 shows overwhelming crowds in Positano, a small cliffside town just south of Naples.

Viral videos of the overcrowded streets sparked backlash among Italian social media users.”

"This is not tourism, it's disgusting," one viewer said.
What have you become, my beloved Positano?" another mused.

"You can’t have these tour groups of 40 people taking up so much space all at once, and let all these people come in and get stuck like this," a tourist wrote.”

The tourist added, "Glad we left early today. What a mess! And such a sad story for Positano, and this whole region."

“Former mayor Salvatore Gagliano, owner of a local hotel, told The Telegraph that the tourist scenes are "straight out of the Third World."

I can’t imagine how this will be in the summer. Walking and squeezing your body against hundreds of thousand, being in the ferry pushed and shoved in the overcrowded spaces, long lines to get something to eat. That’s not humane! If you have small kids it becomes unsafe! That click, that picture, that check mark on social media has been overwhelming these communities.
There is so much more to see in Italy than Positano, Venice, Florence or Rome. I promise you! Where is possible let’s preserve these heavily touristy destinations for a little longer by exploring the centenaries smaller towns, full of beauty and history, instead. These are the same towns that actually need tourism and revitalizing, on the brink of dying away.

I’m a homebody at heart. I love dancing through life within my walls, both outdoors and indoors. I’ve set it up so that every corner has a hobby waiting for me. I’m surrounded by so many things I’ve built, designed or I’ve refinished, but my greatest creation is my family, my kids, and my marriage.
This house has my name all over it. It’s not about the walls or the size of the home, but the memories we’ve created with love and sacrifices. Every day I live the Parable of the Talents (Matthew 25:14-30) and lean on the unwavering faith that has guided me my whole life.
It feels like a song, a poem, a beautiful sense of peace simmering through my body and mind. It’s the good food, the friends, and the love from my family and community that keeps the nourishment flowing. ❤️
Life it’s truly beautiful when our only master is God!

God is great! Vegetable gardening is another hobby that brings me so much joy. I got seeds from Italy for Sicilian melons, long zucchini, wild fennel, tomatoes, fava beans, and piselli (peas). All I had to do was plant the seeds, add water, and make sure the soil didn’t dry out. God is doing the rest!
That’s the life lesson: do your part, and God will bless you with plenty. 🌱
This same lesson is what has built strong family bonds and tight-knit communities among Italians for centuries. A little “seed,” a prayer of praise to God, honest hard work, and a love that keeps on giving — that’s why you feel something truly special when you visit the small towns in Italy.
The food was prepared with soul: everything in season, straight from local farms — fresh poultry, fish, meats, grains that made the pastas and baked goods taste so incredible. Everything was genuine. Dignity mattered more than sales. I lived that life.

There is a place in Sicily where time stood still, the Scurati Caves with Grotta Mangiapane being the largest, nestled within the Mount Cofano Nature Reserve on the island's northwest coast of Trapani. The caves once served as a prehistoric settlement, with evidence of human activity dating back to the Upper Paleolithic period (40,000 to 10,000 years ago!). Archaeologists uncovered prehistoric artifacts, including animal bones, worked flints, and obsidian. While I haven't seen them, the official website suggests that archeologists also found several rock paintings.

What makes Grotta Mangiapane truly special is its more recent history. In 1819, the Mangiapane family, whose name the cave now bears, moved in and transformed it into a tiny village with charming earth-colored houses. The first home stood at the very back of the cave. As the family grew, they gradually built more houses from the inside out. When the cave eventually became too small for the expanding family, they built additional homes, stables, and workshops along the rock face and beyond.

The Mangiapane family called the cave their home for nearly 150 years until the last member left in the 1950s. After that, the village and its picturesque houses were abandoned and fell into decay.

Fortunately, locals restored the site in recent years. To recreate the atmosphere of the village as it was 70 years ago, they received the help of the last surviving member of the Mangiapane family, who actually lived there.
A gorgeous place, overlooking the Mediterranean Sea and mount Erice

Assisi was one of my favorite towns in Umbria not only for the reverence you breathe walking around Sant Francis town but for the welcoming gesture of its people. This person invited us in and gave us a tour of his restaurant and cantina, sampling the best of the best of his pride and joy, his local cheeses and meats. Lunch was fabulous.
5 minutes walking from the Basilica.
I’ll never forget kindness.

Every day same life, same rituals. The Sicilian fisherman leave early to pick up their catch of the day. They nourish locals families and tourists alike. Fix their nets and go back for more the next day. There is so much respect for fishermen and farmers in Sicily! Not an easy job, it doesn’t make them rich. It’s pure love. Love for the sea, dignity for the people.
