BIRTHDAY GIRL! 🤩

Who else is working on their birthday??
But I wanted to stay positive, sharing this picture taken by the one and only in Sicily, two months ago.

I looked so happy in the nature and with a glass of wine in my hand. And I truly was!
I’ve been feeling so stressed and nervous lately, but you know what? Today is my day, I might be busy all day long, but nothing can take me away from some nice bottles of wine tonight…

HEY, RIESLING LOVERS!!!

Last Thursday I hosted a Riesling wine pairing dinner, mainly focusing on France (Alsace) and Germany, where normally this grape variety reaches its most significant expressions, with a glance to Italy and Australia.

🇦🇺 2021 Riesling Block 1961 - Pewsey Vale: paired with Salt & Pepper Prawns.
🇫🇷 2020 Riesling Bildstoecklé Armoirie Hartmann MAGNUM - Andre Hartmann: paired with a cheese selection (Brie, Robiola and mature Pecorino Sardo).
🇩🇪 2020 Riesling Graacher Himmelreich Kabinett - Joh Jos Prüm: paired with roasted Taro salted with vegetables.
🇮🇹 2019 Hérzu Riesling Langhe DOC - Ettore Germano: paired with Wenzhou Rice.
🇩🇪2018 Riesling Auslese Zeltinger Sonnenhur WC** - Markus Molitor: paired with stir fried Chinese Lamiàn with vegetables and Chicken Curry.
🇫🇷 2015 Riesling Vendanges Tardives Grand Cru Muenchberg “Le Jardin de Lucie” - Domaine Koch Michel et René: paired with chicken curry and mature Pecorino Sardo.

🍤🍲🍜🍚🧀🥢 All pairings were successful! Spicy food, fish and cheese were just the perfect match with the lineup!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY LOST_IN_GRAPES! 🎉🎂🎊🥳

When I started this page exactly one year ago, I didn’t have any precise goals. I only wanted to share my greatest passion: wine!
Well… everybody wants to talk about wine nowadays. Somebody has a lot of competences to share, some other a few, someone just hasn’t a clue. That’s life with the social networks!!
Personally, I follow simple rules: posting only true experiences, making wine fun, being respectful towards the other content creators. And this is not going to change!
So…. let’s toast to my fabulous community! Thank you guys for all your support and… stay tuned! 🍾🥂

Getting in the mood for 2022 Modena Champagne Experience! 🍾🥂

Cuvée 739 dégorgement tardif is a 2011 base wine. 96 months on the lees, dégorgement in June 2020 and very low dosage (0.75gr/l).
Lemon color with hints of gold and a fine, consistent perlage.
The bouquet is very complex, with lemon, pink grapefruit, pear, bread dough with hints of dried fruits and honey.
On the palate, the sip is juicy, impressively fresh and with good sapidity. Everlasting finish. Stunning!

🌎 Montagne de Reims, Champagne 🇫🇷
🍇 Chardonnay (61%), Meunier (21%), Pinot Noir (18%)
💶 ~ € 130
🍽 Foie gras, seafood, stuffed poultry.. shall I say with everything???
