Hello dear friends,
We've been quiet for a while, taking time to reflect on the next steps for the project.
It all started with a personal question: how can we listen in a non-anthropocentric way? The Cjossul microphone became a way — and a tool — to explore that question.
After four years and approximately 1,000 hand-built microphones, Andrea and I have decided to put Organic Audio Tools on hiatus.
Before closing this chapter, I wanted to leave something behind that will continue to grow, so I created the Organic Audio Forest: 60 trees that, over their life cycle, are expected to absorb 12,265 kg of CO₂. The number was chosen based on a simplified estimate of the project's footprint over the years.
For me, it's a way of giving something back after these years of materials, shipments, experiments, mistakes, and collaborations.

Organic Audio Tools is going on hiatus. We'll see what happens after the summer.
