Introducing Zakara Lingerie one of our nominees for the ✨✨✨

After 30+ years as a successful photographer, Lisa thought her passion was already perfectly framed—capturing life’s most meaningful moments. But in 2019, something unexpected happened…

While helping her mother-in-law with the Going Out of Business Sale for her beloved bra boutique, she found herself completely hooked. The connection. The transformation. The confidence. It lit a new creative spark. So, she took a leap—closed her photography studio, partnered with a childhood friend, and bought the store.

Over the next 5 years, she became a full-time bra fitter, social media director, and buyer—doubling sales and loving every minute of it. But she dreamed bigger: to blend her two passions—luxury bo***ir photography and expert bra fitting—into one empowering space.

In December 2023, she stepped away from the original boutique and began building Zakara Lingerie—which means “New Beginning.” In June 2024, Zakara opened its doors. The response? Clients are calling it their best bra fitting experience ever.

Where will this new chapter lead? We can’t wait to find out. 💫

Introducing Society Lingerie one of our nominees for the ✨✨✨

Society Lingerie started as a dream rooted in photography and passion. Owner Katlyn has been a bo***ir photographer since 2012, always striving to create empowering experiences for her clients. But when she noticed her clients were left shopping online for lingerie—often unsure of fit, quality, and comfort—she saw a gap that needed to be filled.

So, with a camera in one hand and a baby in the other (literally), she launched Society Lingerie—a carefully curated lingerie boutique and bo***ir studio. What began in a small space in Lethbridge has since grown into something so much more.

Over the last 3.5 years, orders have been shipped all across the country and the boutique has expanded its carefully curated collections, offering unique brands and pieces that are hard to find anywhere else in Canada. Along the way, Katlyn welcomed a new team member and continued creating a space that feels personal, inclusive, and full of heart.
