Some victories are born quietly.
They grow over time — in training rooms,
in invisible repetitions,
in trust built day after day.

At the 2025 Italian Elite Boxing Championships, those victories found their moment.
Giacomo “White Jack” Giannotti, Italian Absolute Champion for the fourth consecutive time.
Michel “Mich” Vescovini, Italian Champion for the second time.

I’ve followed them for years. I’ve seen the work outside the frame:
discipline, doubt, fatigue.
The daily choice to stay.
To keep going.

Even when it’s heavy.
Even when you lose.
Even when the verdict seems to shout:
“Stop. You’ll never make it.”

Boxing teaches that talent is only the beginning.
What truly matters is consistency,
clarity under pressure,
and the courage to step back into the ring — every time — fully present.

Lessons from the ring.
Lessons for life.

Ci sono vittorie che non fanno rumore quando nascono.
Crescono lentamente, nel tempo lungo dell’allenamento.
Nelle ripetizioni invisibili.
Nella fiducia che si costruisce giorno dopo giorno.

Agli Assoluti Elite di Boxe 2025, quelle vittorie hanno trovato il loro momento.
Giacomo “White Jack” Giannotti, campione italiano assoluto per la quarta volta consecutiva.
Michel “Mich” Vescovini, campionessa italiana per la seconda volta.

Li seguo da anni. Ho visto il lavoro che resta fuori dall’inquadratura:
la disciplina silenziosa, i dubbi, la fatica.
La scelta quotidiana di restare.
Di esserci e di continuare.

Anche quando pesa.
Anche quando perdi.
Anche quando i verdetti sembrano urlare:
“Smettila. Tanto non ce la farai mai.”

La boxe insegna che il talento è solo l’inizio.
Che ciò che fa davvero la differenza è la costanza,
la lucidità sotto pressione,
la capacità di tornare sul ring — ogni volta — un po’ più presenti.

E sono lezioni che non appartengono solo alla boxe.
Sono lezioni di vita.

Honoured and incredibly happy to be a finalist at the World Sports Photography Awards 2026 in the Boxing category.

For the fourth year in a row, one of my photographs has made it to the final — something I’m deeply grateful for.

Even more so because this image portrays Pamela Malvina Noutcho Sawa, IBO Lightweight World Champion, an athlete I’ve been following for years and whom I truly admire, both as a woman and as a fighter.

Heartfelt thanks to Pamela, her coach Alessandro Dané, and Bolognina Boxe for their trust and support throughout these years.

Fingers crossed — winners will be announced on January 15, 2026 🤞

There’s something almost sacred about the atmosphere in a locker room before a boxing match.
The air grows dense, heavy with unspoken thoughts.

Silence settles—until someone cracks a joke to ease the tension at the sight of a female photographer
(even if by now they all know me), calling me “a mother figure” (thank you, Dané 😂).

“You know,” an old boxing master tells me, “the true beauty in boxing photography comes from the photographer.
Because capturing the soul of boxing requires heart.
And yours beats in every frame.”

Hearing that—from someone who’s lived his whole life between the ropes—means more than words can hold

📷Da piccola mi chiesero: “Cosa vuoi fare da grande?” Io risposi: “L’astrofisica”

Poi ebbi paura di quello che le stelle e il cielo buio della notte potevano portare. Quella domanda, e i miei sogni, si persero nel buio della notte e iniziai a cercare chi ero ri-creando ciò che mi circondava.

Cantaii, suonaii, dipinsi, disegnai, mi occupai di vino e creai un brand di abbigliamento upcycled. E continuai a cercare la mia risposta nel trovare la soluzione ai problemi di piccole e grandi aziende, piccoli e grandi professionisti, dal commercio all’hi-tech alla musica.

E le strade mi hanno portato ad occuparmi di social media, di strategia e di comunicazione aziendale, dal gestire i fan di una nota pop-star italiana, al comprendere come omaggiare i 60 anni del CERN di Ginevra.
