Toying with some models from the carnevale tribe. This is the alt sculpt for Patrician noble: the small one is printed at regular size (in resin), the big one is upscaled at 140% (iirc) and printed in fdm using my Bambulab A1 mini.
I wanted to give a try to a 54mm miniature because tomorrow is the launch day of and I find Carnevale miniatures perfect for the visual style of the game! Having them as 3d printable files via tribe, means I can upscale my favourite model and print it in no time, ready to give a try to this new game. Rules are from so it's kind of a safe bet! 🥰🥰🥰

Hello everyone!

The Monsters Behind the Masks team has been quiet for a while, but for a very good reason!

We received an amazing number of entries for our recent painting challenge, and we want to thank you all so much for your enthusiasm and participation. Our main goal has always been to spread the joy that this hobby gives us, and painting miniatures is one of the best ways to have fun together.

Among all the submissions, we selected three finalist models as our favourites. The choice was not based just on the quality of the paint job, but also on the overall feeling each model conveyed. Believe us, it was not an easy task at all!

Now it’s your turn to be the judge!

Hello everyone!
Your favourite Monsters are here, as promised, to give you the guidelines for our traditional New Year painting competition!

As we mentioned on the podcast (we’re sure you’ve already listened to it, but just in case, we’re leaving a handy link down below), this time the painting challenge is all about the new Carnevale starter set: World's Fair After Party. Since TTCombat now has a MyMiniFactory store for Carnevale (link down below as well!), we thought it would be nice to make all the models available on that store eligible for the competition.

Once your model is painted, send us at least three pictures of it (front, back, and 3/4) to [email protected]. Sharing your entry on Instagram and Facebook is also great! Just remember to tag us and use the hashtag .

We will accept entries until Sunday, January 25th, 2026. After that, Jon and Matteo will pick their three favourite models. Then we’ll open a poll on the Facebook Carnevale page where YOU will choose the winner.

This time, the prize will be one of the new six Heroes of the Adriatic Sea, of YOUR CHOICE!
