Ricordo ancora, con una punta di malinconia, come lo avevo scoperto: ero un giovane inesperto, e i miei amici più grandi, quelli che al sabato notte si avventuravano in discoteca, mi parlavano di una musica diversa, di un’esperienza sonora che sfuggiva agli schemi. Lui stesso definiva il suo stile “musica sperimentale”, un connubio inusuale di elettronica nascente, arricchita da sfumature funk, disco, cosmiche, tribali e house. Un genere che mi catturò immediatamente, spingendomi a esplorare nuovi territori sonori. Più volte venne ad esibirsi alla discoteca Expo’, nella saletta superiore alla domenica pomeriggio, assieme ad Alain DJ. All’epoca era uno dei nostri punti di riferimento!

Grazie alla sua pazienza e dedizione ho qui un vero e proprio gioiello ritrovato: un mixtape originale di Frankie Knuckles dal Sound Factory Bar di New York, 1996! 🎶🗽

Questo non è solo un nastro, è un viaggio diretto nel cuore pulsante della house music anni '90. Immaginate l'energia di quel club leggendario, le luci, la gente che ballava... e Frankie in console a tessere la sua magia.

È un'esperienza sonora autentica, un frammento di quella cultura club che Frankie Knuckles ha contribuito a definire.

Thanks to his patience and dedication I have here a real rediscovered gem: an original Frankie Knuckles mixtape from the Sound Factory Bar in New York, 1996! 🎶🗽
