Donegal welcomed me with dramatic cliffs, Atlantic winds, and plenty of curious sheep along the trail. Before heading to TBEX, I did a four day self guided hike with that reminded me why Donegal is one of Ireland’s most breathtaking corners.

From Assaranca Waterfall to Glencolumbkille to Carrick..every step felt like walking through a postcard: rugged coastline, wide-open skies, and that unmistakable feeling of freedom you only get in Ireland. I was so lucky for beautiful weather on many of the days on the trail! This hike/walk allowed me to see more of donegal in a different way and I love that!

My advice to you: If you’re planning a trip to Ireland, don’t skip Donegal — this landscape has a way of staying with you long after the hike ends. The people of donegal have been so welcoming and such great hosts.

Cant wait to head out soon for TBEX In Donegal, Ireland !

I’ll be doing four days on the Donegal Way before the conference and I’m so excited to see more of Ireland and see all the people I networked with last year! It’s going to be a week of travel fun!

Most people race to the Dolomites… but almost no one knows about Cima Sappada, a village in the Carnic Alps that’s always stood apart.

Locals call it Zepodn, a name tied to the flood plain where it was built. At nearly 1,300m, its timbered houses and rustic farm buildings spread across flat land in a rare maze of alleys and streets—so different from other alpine hamlets.

Here, history runs deep. The Zepodarkirche, a small church from 1732, still anchors the village, surrounded by five tiny meadow chapels. Wander further and you’ll find 17th- and 18th-century homes with vaulted foyers, stone fireplaces, and wooden balconies weathered by centuries. Along the Piave River, the remains of old mills tell the story of mountain life long gone.

Cima Sappada isn’t just beautiful—it’s a living museum of alpine culture.
Would you add this hidden corner of the Carnic Alps to your Italy trip?

Note: if you decide to travel here and take pictures, please be respectful of the locals. The streets can be small and cars are coming and going. Don’t block traffic for a photo.

Trekking through Northern Italy doesn’t always mean the Dolomites. The MADE Trek in the Carnic Alps leads you through valleys carved by glaciers, alpine lakes hidden in silence, and peaks that glow pink at sunrise.

The MADE Trek in the Carnic Alps of Northern Italy took me from Cima Sappada to Rifugio Tolazzi, passing the Punta di Giramondo into Austria. Then back into Italy passing through WWI trenches.

This area is an alternative to the Dolomites — with panoramic ridgelines, alpine lakes, and uncrowded trails where shepherds still graze their animals in summer pastures. If you’re looking for authentic trekking in Northern Italy and Austria, this route is unforgettable.

Have you ever wondered what it took to make Asiago Cheese? Well, I went to Asiago and got all the details. I took a tour of the renowned Casieficio Pennar and got the inside deets. This was so much fun. It's a tour you can take too!

Visiting Asiago, Italy? Don’t miss Caseificio Pennar, where fresh milk turns into Asiago DOP, wheels age in cheese vaults, and tradition comes alive.

Verona in pictures

I know people say I should put down my camera and take in a city without distraction, but I feel like I see more, feel more and my senses get a spark when I have it in hand.

Walking through ancient streets in a historic city like Verona, Italy, I notice the way the light hits weathered stone, the quiet exchanges between locals, and the movement of a place that has existed for centuries.

The oldest bridge, worn smooth by time, stands as a silent witness to history as the sunsets.

Sunlight filters through narrow alleyways, where the scent of fresh bread drifts from a family-run bakery. A street musician plays a melody that lingers long after I’ve wandered away.

Travel isn’t just about visiting famous landmarks—it’s about experiencing a city’s history, culture, and everyday life in the small, fleeting moments. To me that’s an experience where all my senses have a chance to come alive, and you’re probably thinking “ that sounds cheesy as hell” but it’s true.

My brain doesn’t linger over crazy “ breaking news” or constantly have to think about what’s wrong. For a few hours it’s just me and my camera taking it in.

Do you do this when you travel to a new city?
Does this make you slow down and see the world differently?
I’d love to hear about it ⬇️
