Autumn in the Dolomites is pure magic with golden larches, serene lakes, breathtaking ridgelines, and skies that resemble artwork.

And before you ask, I'm not sharing the exact location. There are plenty of “hidden trails” and villages waiting to be discovered. Sometimes it's better to explore off the beaten path and find your own secret haven.

A few reminders for your next adventure:
✔️ Be mindful of fellow hikers and share the trail.
✔️ Respect drone restrictions and considerate of others.
✔️ Take your time and soak it all in.

Would you prefer hiking the Dolomites in autumn or another season?

My time in the Sahara with wasn’t just about desert camps and camel rides…

We stopped at Khamlia Village at Dar Gnaoua Bambara Khamila where we had a chance to just sit and take in what was before us

I honestly wish we had more time in the village of Khamlia! There’s so many things to learn about. If you’re planning on going to the Sahara , Morocco you’ve got to spend sometime here.

Gnawa isn’t only music, it’s a cultural and spiritual practice blending the sacred and the secular. Emerging from the trauma of the trans-Saharan slave trade, Gnawa became a way to remember ancestors, invoke spirits, and heal through rhythm and trance. Over centuries it has grown into a vital part of Morocco’s identity, carried forward by fraternal groups, master musicians, and festivals that keep the traditions alive.

Witnessing this in person was humbling. It’s a reminder that what we hear as music today is also memory, resilience, and continuity: a living link between past suffering and present cultural pride.

I honestly wish we spent more time here listening to this wonderful music and I wish I would have struck up a chat with these guys because this for me is what makes travel what it is. Learning about new things, asking questions… there’s so much all of us can learn. It was something else, the joy that emanated from everyone in that room was pretty contagious. 🙏

Moments from the Sahara with

I finally faced my fear of riding a camel and honestly, I don’t know what I was so afraid of. They’re huge, yes, but also unbelievably gentle (and those lashes? Totally jealous).

My camels name? I forgot it, but we will call him Buddy because within minutes, he felt like a friend. Sweet, patient, and calm, even as I nervously climbed on and held on for dear life

At the same time, I’ll be real: I had mixed feelings. I can’t help but wonder about how camels are treated in tourism, and I think it’s important to ask those questions. Travel isn’t just about the “Instagram moment” it’s about being mindful, too.

Would I do it again? Maybe. But I’ll always choose experiences that align with traveling ethically.

Some places live in your imagination long before you ever walk their streets. For me, it was this blue city in the Rif mountains—layered with Amazigh and Andalusian history, flavors that linger, and stories deeper than the daydreams I once had. Can you guess where?

Verona in pictures

I know people say I should put down my camera and take in a city without distraction, but I feel like I see more, feel more and my senses get a spark when I have it in hand.

Walking through ancient streets in a historic city like Verona, Italy, I notice the way the light hits weathered stone, the quiet exchanges between locals, and the movement of a place that has existed for centuries.

The oldest bridge, worn smooth by time, stands as a silent witness to history as the sunsets.

Sunlight filters through narrow alleyways, where the scent of fresh bread drifts from a family-run bakery. A street musician plays a melody that lingers long after I’ve wandered away.

Travel isn’t just about visiting famous landmarks—it’s about experiencing a city’s history, culture, and everyday life in the small, fleeting moments. To me that’s an experience where all my senses have a chance to come alive, and you’re probably thinking “ that sounds cheesy as hell” but it’s true.

My brain doesn’t linger over crazy “ breaking news” or constantly have to think about what’s wrong. For a few hours it’s just me and my camera taking it in.

Do you do this when you travel to a new city?
Does this make you slow down and see the world differently?
I’d love to hear about it ⬇️
