Politics is not PERFORMANCE

East Portlanders have long been caricatured as clients of this politician or that benefactor. That’s lazy. The pattern in this election says something else.

Independence! People here can appreciate a road fixed or a scholarship funded and still want a credible plan, Clean Governance, and consistent presence in the office and communities.

RESPECT isn’t a one-time rodeo, it is a relationship renewed every day. When politics become more PERFORMANCE than partnership, Portlanders didn’t defect, they disengaged.

Yesterday the people of East Portland voted rejecting the Closure of the Blue Lagoon, Blue Hole Road and for the Immediate return of rafting on the Blue Lagoon. The vote also send the resounding message Beach Access is a Right and that San San Bay is nobody's backyard. On September 10th join us at the Portland Parish Court for another hearing.

The issue of beach access is a serious one. In the Blue Lagoon, private individuals have been allowed by the Portland Municipal Corporation and Jamaica National Heritage Trust to take control of the public access Blue Hole Road since August 29th, 2022, a situation that has been complicated by some politicians' duplicitous statements or silence regarding the Blue Lagoon.
