Double murder reported on Friday morning in southern Manchester.

An entertainer and his father were killed in New Forest, Manchester, earlier today.

Preliminary reports indicate that the men were found with their hands bound shortly after midnight, after residents reported hearing loud explosions.

Police said the men were killed execution-style at their home in New Forest.
The entertainer has been identified by his stage name, Fido.

The incident has increased the parish’s murder tally to 16 so far this year.

🧶✨ What started as a simple hobby has grown into a thriving business for 17-year-old Crista Robinson.

The Ardenne High School student is the creative mind behind Crafts by Crista, a business specializing in handmade crochet bags, hats, keychains, jewellery, plushies, and custom creations.

But entrepreneurship is only one part of her story. Crista is also balancing school, sports, clubs, and recently completed an impressive ten CSEC subjects while building her brand.

This morning on SunriseCVM, she shares how she turned her passion into a business, the lessons she’s learned along the way, and why stepping outside her comfort zone has been worth it.

Retired Justice Ian Xavier Forte, former President of the Court of Appeal and husband of Marlene Malahoo Forte, has died.

He passed away on Friday morning at the age of 89.

Justice Forte served the Jamaican judiciary with distinction for more than five decades and held some of the region's highest judicial offices.

The Jamaica Labour Party (JLP) has since expressed sadness at his passing, describing him as a distinguished jurist who made significant contributions to Jamaica and the wider Caribbean throughout his legal career.

The JLP also extended condolences to his family, especially his widow, Member of Parliament for St James West Central, Marlene Malahoo Forte.

A video widely circulated on social media has placed Councillor for the Brown's Town Division, Kim Brown Lawrence, at the centre of controversy following an alleged physical altercation with another employee at the St. Ann Municipal Corporation.

The incident, which was captured on video, has since been circulating online and drawing strong public reaction.

In a video posted to her page, Councillor Brown Lawrence said the corporation is dealing with the staff member involved in the incident, whom she claims "passed her place."

The circumstances surrounding the altercation remain unclear at this time.

However, investigations into the matter are ongoing.

Political commentator Dr Nadine Spence says Parliament should table the Integrity Commission's report on the Firearm Licensing Authority without further delay.

Spence argues that the court has already determined that the report followed the required process and that tabling it is necessary to allow public discussion of its findings.
