, has officially surpassed 2 billion total views on YouTube, a monumental achievement for the genre-defining icon who spent 13 years behind bars. 📍
Despite missing out on the early rise of the streaming era and having many of his biggest hits uploaded through third-party channels, Kartel’s digital dominance remains undeniable. While this may have cost him tens of millions of potential views, the numbers still speak volumes.
For example, his colossal global hit “Fever” has amassed over 191 million views across platforms 69 million via Zojak, 33 million on his official video, 30 million from the audio upload, and another 32 million through third-party channels. Meanwhile, his 2010 anthem “Clarks,” featuring Popcaan and Gaza Slim, has racked up 15 million views across uploads, though only 4.5 million are credited to his official channel.
This milestone makes Kartel the third most-viewed living Jamaican artist on YouTube, behind only Sean Paul and Shaggy, with Bob Marley leading the all-time list.
His 2016 hit “Colouring This Life” leads his official catalog with 89 million views, followed by the 2019 anthem “Any Weather” (66M), “Wine To The Top” featuring WizKid (55M), “Back Way” with (40M+), and “Unstoppable” (35M+).
Since his release, Kartel has added over 115 million views in just one year, led by the emotional “God Is The Greatest” with 21 million views and “The Comet” with 15 million. He also dropped visuals for 2014's classics, “Miami Vice Episode” (3.2M) and “Ignite The World” (9.6M) - a strategic decision aimed at maximizing the streaming pull of some of his most iconic.
