🎙️ *"Mental Health and Criminal Minds: A Criminological and Psychological Study of Jamaica, the Caribbean, and the World. By R.A.Blake,MCJ/MACJ*
Across cultures, the intersections of mental illness, criminal behavior, and systemic justice reveal urgent truths. In Jamaica, we see how untreated trauma, poverty, and cultural bias can fuel cycles of crime. In the Caribbean, we witness how systemic gaps in the Criminal Justice system and/or the mental health care, shape outcomes in communities already burdened by inequality. And globally, from Jamaica to international courtrooms, we uncover how justice systems often punish illness instead of addressing it.
This study is not just about statistics. *It’s about people. It’s about unmasking the realities of mental illness and crime, crime and mental illness, and reframing justice through a trauma-informed, dignity-centered lens.
By exploring these intersections, we aim to spark dialogue, inspire reform, and build resilience across borders.
The work of *CaSSSociety* highlights the need for justice, cultural awareness, and evidence-based solutions. Together, we can change narratives, strengthen communities, and create systems that heal rather than harm.
*This is more than research. It’s reckoning. It’s restoration. It’s time.* _Sincerly, Criminologist and Criminal Psychologist/ Social Scientist R.A.Blake, MACJ/MCJ_
