I just left the hospital.
My biggest supporter and cheerleader in life just died. I pray that she is sleeping with the angels now.
We met in Rollington Town one day when I was walking that community to pray and evangelize. I met two ladies, they outed their spliffs and followed me straight into the Kingdom from that day onward.
She was a super loyal person. If she loved you, she defended you to a fault. One day a dancehall artist took a video from this page and mistook my post as a prophecy for money ploy and she handled him in ways I cannot describe - its the quickest a video has ever been taken down. This was my Peter, if she loved you, she would fight for you... Only God knows the gift of Sis.Trina.
Lady A and I connection ran deep, the hours on the phone encouraging each other, or the years when she would sponsor our FEED THE CITY food share, deciding what to do for the needy.
Lady Angelee Brivett was a comedian, one who lifted my spirit and carried my pain. She was one of the few people on earth that could tell you if something was going on with me. She was my confidant and hardly did anyone know that. If you heard me in NYC last December, this was the lady who said, “pastor, you are going back to school” and this she fulfilled. She believed in people.
I respected her as a mother of two amazing kids. She spoke of their successes and character by day and night. She was proud of the gentleman and the lady that she had raised.
She spoke of her dream for travel. Outside of that, she didn't ask for much more. She was already happy that her son, who plays professional football would be home this July. This brought her great joy.
I don’t like the phone but she and I spent an average one hour per convo talking about life, its joys and challenges.
Friday was our last talk. I told her that she would be fine and we said the usual “I love you for free”. I didn’t know that she would have passed today and so young.
Well, I am thankful to God for a woman who entered my life and shaped me in so many ways, even by how she designed the tables in her home.
Maybe when it really sinks in, I will wake up and cry but for now I will settle with this feeling as if she is still here, making the home look good and preparing a meal for her daughter.
I know her mom, children, her nurse family(funny but all her best friends are nurses), Sir Gallimore, her daughter’s dad and all her people in the streets will miss “Trina” greatly but no one is born to live forever. Let us accept what God allows.
Rest in peace, my blood family. I love you until morning.
P.S. If you still don’t know who this face is, she is the only one who walks in with two balloons on her pastor’s birthday and appreciation to celebrate her pastor.
