It will go to the best climate-smart initiatives across countries, companies, communities and individuals. First winners is slated for June 2019.

Bill Gates, the World Bank, InterAmerican Development Bank, Clinton Foundation, PwC and more are on board to fund the Caribbean Climate-Smart Accelerator.

Until then, did you know that we help to shape lives in small yet meaningful ways?
Every ad placed with the Fortress ezine and website helps to hire an intern and builds their writing portfolio for further studies or jobs. Case in point, Shantel Wilmoth.

The young professional, came to us through UWI Career & Placement Services, has a flair for creative writing and investigative journalism.

She nailed her first interview and writing assignment so much so her work got featured in Fortress's Business of Diplomacy issue ( #2). Since then the ever dependable contributing writer has been growing from strength to strength.

Given her bubbly personality, she scheduled interviews and assisted with special projects before seizing an opportunity with Scotiabank. She continued to write for us on weekends and we kept in touch as mentor-mentee.

Will never forget Shantel's call when she saw Fortress ezine being circulated on Scotiabank's intranet and how excited she was to show off her published work!
