🛑🚸 School is Back! Let’s Keep Our Streets Safe

As our students return to school, it’s important to remember the pedestrian crossing rules that help everyone get to class safely:
• Stop at the curb – do not step onto the road
• Look left, right, and left again
• Press the “WALK” button (if available)
• Make eye contact with drivers
• Walk, don’t run – stay in the marked area
• Be aware of turning vehicles

And to make it fun, here’s a classic school chant we used to recite:

School is in once again! 👏
Cars, Trucks, Buses – Oh What A Busy Terrain! 👏👏
Stop – Look – Listen – Wait ⏸️
Check both ways – you won’t be late 👏
Look Left – Look Right – Look Left Again ⏸️
Cross when clear – Please Walk – Don’t Run My Dear! 🎉

Let’s teach each other these rules, share the chant, and keep our streets safe for all students!

🔎🏝️ Guess the Landmark!

Once called the “Wickedest City on Earth”, this historic Jamaican town was a bustling hub for pirates and merchants in the 1600s. After a devastating natural disaster in 1692, much of it sank beneath the sea, but its legacy still lives on today. 🌊⚓

Can you guess which Jamaican landmark this is? Drop your answer in the comments! 👇🏽

How many of you remember the very first staging of the National Political Debates in 1997? We remember it vividly, as it was held right in our studio!

CPTC has been staging the National Debates — hosted by the Jamaica Debates Commission (JDC) — since their inception, and we are thankful that the JDC has placed their trust in us to continue providing the neutrality and technical expertise needed for producing these important debates to the highest standard as we stage the 2025 General Election Debates.

Did you know Jamaica didn’t always have 14 parishes? Up to the 1800s, the island was divided into just 7 precincts.

In the late 1800s, government restructuring merged and renamed some precincts, while St. John and St. David were removed altogether, giving us the 14 parishes we know today. 🇯🇲
