The Jamaica Woodland Festival is poised to create an unforgettable family experience in the beautiful Ocho Rios area of St. Ann during the Easter weekend of 2025. David Anderson, the festival's founder and event director, expressed excitement about bringing together the local business community, including hoteliers, to create a unique event featuring camping and various engaging activities for families. Attendees can expect cultural presentations, kids’ villages, and obstacle courses, all designed to foster family participation in a pristine, natural environment.
In addition to daytime activities, families will have the option to camp overnight, bringing their own pre-equipped tents or renting luxurious pre-pitched tents with essential amenities. The festival promises a diverse lineup of local and international artists, ensuring entertainment for all. With hopes of attracting over 10,000 patrons, the organizers have collaborated with various stakeholders, including the Social Development Commission and the Urban Development Corporation, to facilitate a successful and well-managed event close to Ocho Rios town center and the cruise ship dock.
