Despite the looming presence of Hurricane Melissa, we pause to recognize the blessings that surround us, especially our supportive community.

In this episode of Biz Across Jamaica, we journeyed to Kingston to visit our friends at Value Drug Pharmacy, where Mrs. Jones shared how the soothing sounds of NCU FM bring calm to those who walk through their doors.

A heartfelt thank you to Mrs. Jones and her amazing team for staying tuned to NCU FM 91.1, 91.3, and 91.5 - your support means the world to us.

Please remember to take all necessary precautions as we weather the storm together. 💛🙏🏼

Huricane Melissa is determined to make her appearance and so to accomodate her, we have postponed our Biz Across Jamaica Pop Up at Urvill’s Supermarket to next Friday October 31 starting at 10 AM.

We were looking forward to having fun with our Mandeville community, but no worries, we still have a treat in stored. Keep safe and stay tuned to NCU FM for the latest developments.

🇯🇲 Fighting for Justice, Freedom, and the Nation!
This National Heroes Day, we honour the courage of Jamaica’s heroes… warriors, visionaries, and freedom fighters whose sacrifices carved the path to independence and pride.

Their legacy reminds us that freedom begins in the mind and lives through our actions.

91.1 FM, 91.3 FM or 91.5 FM - Your Education and Wellness Station

The history of the NCU Media Group dates back to the late 1990’s when then West Indies College acquired a community radio broadcast license. The station started operating as WIC Radio 88.3 FM in 1999, and served the campus and a small portion of the College community with a 100 watt transmitter.

In November 2010, NCU FM expanded its reach Island-wide by commissioning two 4000 watt transmitters; one in Huntley, Manchester on the 91.1 FM band, and one in Coopers Hill, St Andrew on the 91.3 FM band. The station then went from limited hours of broadcast times to a 24-hour, 7-day radio format, complete with news, full-length programmes, and features.
