At **Renegade Reggae Radio**, we believe that reggae music is about more than just a recording — it is about **real artists, real voices, real musicians and real people behind the music**.
For this reason, we have a clear editorial policy regarding the music we play on our show.
We only feature vocal tracks where the vocalist is a **real, identifiable human artist** who can be properly credited and who genuinely exists independently of the recording. Ideally, the artist should also be capable of performing the song live and standing behind the performance on stage.
We therefore reserve the right not to play tracks where:
• the vocalist cannot be clearly identified
• the identity of the singer or performing artist cannot be independently established
• the vocal performance appears to be entirely AI-generated or otherwise synthetically created
• there is no credible artist, singer or band behind the recording
• the artist credits or release information are unclear or unverifiable
• we cannot confidently introduce the artist to our listeners
• the recorded vocal cannot reasonably be connected to a real performer capable of performing it live
• the origin of the vocal performance is unclear
This is **not a statement against technology, modern music production or producers using new tools**. We fully respect innovation and creativity in music production.
However, our radio show has its own editorial identity. We want our listeners to know **who they are listening to** and to feel that there is a real human artist behind the voice.
For us, reggae has always been about **people, culture, expression, experience and connection**. A voice should belong to someone who can stand behind that voice.
Therefore, not every technically well-produced track will necessarily be suitable for Renegade Reggae Radio.
We appreciate every producer and artist who sends us music, and we thank you for understanding that **selection for the show is based not only on musical quality, but also on artist identity, authenticity and the principles of our programme.**
