Embassy of St. Vincent and the Grenadines in Taiwan

The Embassy is pleased to have received a copy of “Saint Vincent and the Grenadines: A General History to the Year 2025”, a locally produced historical publication handed over to H.E. Ambassador Kenton X. Chance on 15 August 2026 by the Hon. Dr Godwin Friday, Prime Minister of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, during his official visit to Taiwan.

The first volume of the publication, authored by Vincentian historians Dr Adrian St. Aubyn Fraser, Dr Garrey Michael Dennie, and Dr Cleve McDonald Scott, documents the history of the indigenous peoples, genocide and African enslavement in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, from approximately 5000 Before the Present to 1838.

The Embassy welcomes this important addition to its collection and values efforts to document, preserve and promote the history and heritage of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines.

Publications such as this play an important role in preserving the experiences that have shaped the country and ensuring that they remain accessible to present and future generations.

Members of the public are welcome to visit the Embassy to access the publication.
