Jubilee School, the educational arm of the Jubilee Institute under the King Hussein Foundation, is pleased to announce an opening for the position of Director of Student Affairs. This role is essential to leading an exceptional student experience that integrates academic excellence, psychological and social well-being, and leadership development for students with outstanding academic potential.
About the Role
This position plays a strategic role in fulfilling the mission of Jubilee School through the design and implementation of a holistic student life program. It aims to support the comprehensive growth of academically gifted students by integrating counseling services, extracurricular activities, college and career guidance, and residential life.
Key Responsibilities
1. Lead the student support system, including psychological and social counseling, academic and career advising, and health services.
2. Develop innovative leadership and community service programs, and encourage student participation in school decision-making processes.
3. Oversee the school’s residential program as a learning environment that promotes independence and cultural diversity.
4. Build effective partnerships with parents and the broader community to support students’ academic and personal growth.
5. Monitor and evaluate the impact of student life programs using clear indicators of student well-being and development.
Qualifications
1. A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Educational Administration, Psychology, or a related field (a postgraduate degree is preferred).
2. At least 10 years of experience in student affairs or advanced educational programs, with a preference for experience working with academically gifted students.
3. Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage multidisciplinary teams.
4. Proficiency in both Arabic and English, with excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with students and parents.
5. A deep understanding of the needs of gifted students and effective support strategies.
