Researchers at RMIT University have developed a new titanium alloy for additive manufacturing that’s 33% cheaper than the industry standard Ti-6Al-4V — while delivering greater strength and durability.

• Replaces costly vanadium with more affordable, widely available elements
• Produces a uniform grain structure for consistent performance

🔬 Scientists Create the Impossible: Breaking Chemistry Rule
Once considered impossible, researchers at OIST have synthesized a stable 20-electron ferrocene derivative, challenging the long-standing 18-electron rule — a cornerstone of organometallic chemistry.

🧪 Why is this important?
For decades, chemists believed that transition metal complexes are most stable when surrounded by 18 valence electrons. Ferrocene, discovered in 1951, exemplified this rule and revolutionized the field — even earning the 1973 Nobel Prize.
Now, this new 20-electron compound not only challenges established rules but also introduces unconventional redox properties, opening up new possibilities for catalysis, materials science, and molecular design.
🔍Led by Dr. Satoshi Takebayashi and published in Nature Communications, this work redefines what’s possible in coordination chemistry.

تشرفنا في مركز الريادة والإبداع بزيارة قيّمة من شركة نبع الحكمة للخدمات الصناعية والفحص، ممثلة بمديرها العام الأستاذ الدكتور محمد حسين الكيلاني، وبرفقته كل من الآنسة زهرة الفاعوري والدكتورة أسيل أحمد.

💬 خلال الزيارة، تم مناقشة فرص التعاون في مجالات البحث العلمي والخدمات التحليلية، بما يسهم في دعم المشاريع التطبيقية وتطوير حلول صناعية مبنية على أسس علمية.

🔬 كما شملت الزيارة جولة تعريفية في مختبرات المركز، والاطلاع على الأجهزة والتقنيات المتقدمة التي تخدم الباحثين والقطاع الصناعي على حد سواء.

زيارة وفد من مديرية الامن العام الى مركز الريادة والابداع

في اطار تعزيز التعاون المشترك بين جامعة الإسراء والمؤسسات الأمنية، استقبل مركز الريادة والإبداع في جامعة الإسراء وفدًا من مركز الابتكار والتطوير لمديرية الامن العام، وادارة المختبرات والأدلة الجرمية، وذلك بهدف بحث سبل التعاون في مجالات البحث العلمي، والتقنيات التحليلية، والابتكار ونقل المعرفة.
👥 وقد كان في استقبال الوفد كل من الدكتور مايك حداد مدير مركز الريادة والإبداع، والأستاذ الدكتور سامر العلي عميد البحث العلمي والدراسات العليا، والدكتورة آلاء المعابره عميد كلية العلوم.
🔬 شملت الزيارة جولة ميدانية في مرافق المركز ومختبراته المتقدمة، حيث تم استعراض أهم الأجهزة البحثية المستخدمة في الدراسات التطبيقية.
تعكس هذه الزيارة حرص جامعة الإسراء على بناء شراكات استراتيجية فعّالة تربط بين المؤسسات الأكاديمية والجهات الوطنية لدعم الابتكار وخدمة المجتمع..
